B-Bop's — Restaurant in Waukee

I consistently have issues with this specific location. I have given them the benefit of doubt and tried them time and again, being as they are the closest location, but after my experience with the staff there last night I feel it’s time to write a review… after placing my girlfriend and I’s order at the speaker, and waiting through a surprisingly short line for a Friday night we pay for our food and receive our drinks flat and watered down. One of the managers on duty (white collar and handkerchief) comes up to the window and asks for us to confirm the two burgers we ordered. I say that’s correct and before I could catch her attention to say “Hey could I get a different drink this one doesn’t taste good” the window is closed rather fast and is then opened back up and we are asked to pay again? We tell the manager “we have paid already?” for her to tell us with an attitude that it was voided out because our card was accidentally used for a different order like we were supposed to know? We ask for receipt for that and are met with a blank stare “The refund receipt for the voided transaction so I know we are not being charged twice?” We are handed the receipt and we hand the card back and pay for our meal again. I now have the chance to ask for a different drink because the one we got did not taste good. She would not take the drink from us to even throw it away and made the other white collard handkerchief girl that was working with her take it from us and give us a starry instead per our request. That was flat as well. Our burgers and fries were cold by the time we got home not even 10 minutes later. Take the extra time and go to the Mills Civic location instead. The workers there are quick and straight to the point and get the food out to you hot and fresh and never have...

They only gave me half of my order and I didn't realize until I got home. I was trying to feed my whole family who was waiting at home. I'm lucky that my family is food secure, because if we were living paycheck to paycheck like a lot of people are, then my parents would have gone without food tonight. They also didn't give me a receipt at any point during the exchange, which makes me slightly suspicious that they could just be being careless. The same person who charged me $35 handed me a half-full paper bag containing 2 burgers and said "have a good day" without ever stopping to think that maybe those numbers don't match up. There were 3 people in the takeout window that could've spotted this error and nobody said a word. I would've checked myself, but there was a severe thunderstorm coming in and I needed to get home. Well I am a pilot car driver and I go all over the place spending all kinds of money. Well I decided to drive 20 min to this location to try them for my first time. First impression was not at all inviting fallowed with a sour tone to the cashiers voice when they did not have tap to pay, one of my most used methods of payment. This is 2024, why do you not have that option, take all forms of payment or gtfo. I could've walked back to my vehicle to grab one of my cards or cash but they didn't seem interested enough in actually getting paid so I left...
