I didn’t even order food. I just came in as an uber driver. I come in and obviously the aesthetics and environment and vibe are terrible. This Popeyes isn’t known for having a stellar vibe. I come in, I’m the only person in the store, the only person at the register, and none of the three people working even looked my direction when I came in or when I was at the counter. In fact the lady and her husband kept their backs turned on me for 13 minutes of the 15 minutes I was in there for. The lady doing quality control didn’t even say hello to me when I said hello to her first. I waited 12 minutes for a singular box of wings and two little things of sauce.
I’ve worked in food service. I’ve worked places that were probably a lot worse than this location in terms of sales and labor. I literally watched two people deliberately work as slow as possible. The third guy in the back was locked in and cooking so props to that guy. She had maybe 6 orders she had to pack, all of the food was prepped and ready to go for her at her station. I think she averaged 5 minutes per order and literally all she had todo was use tongs to place things in boxes. I asked her a follow up question just to check that the order was ready to go and she said yes obviously but in a way that felt like a curse.
If you hate working in food service then you have to find another job! I understand we are all to some degree searching for that easy life with good pay but that easy life is never in the fast food industry. It’s fast food for a reason. I want it fast and with a smile. No one ever said this industry is easy. Please don’t ruin this experience for others if you hate your food service job. Do everyone a favor and stop touching food with your negative attitude!

On June 07 @ around 3 pm had ordered 12 pc only chicken, Store Manager took my order I switch the breast for legs in which she said it will be extra $3 more. I said problem I want legs no breast. Got my order and drove off thinking I had the correct order 6 legs 3 thighs 3 wings right . Got home open my box and what it comes to find out was that I had 2 breast 4 legs 1 thigh 5 wings. Called the store told them what I had received in which the store manager answered the phone and said oh I remember I took your order, so I said I need to know if there’s any way i could get refunded for the overcharge since I didn’t got my order correct. Manager told me that i needed the to bring the chicken back to get refunded but my child had eaten 2 legs at this point and now she wanted me to drive back and return the order mind you she charged $3 dollars as water bottles why ? I use to work at restaurant and we all had a key to press for extra charge on everything why charge $3 dollars for water bottles those make your food cost low when it comes to inventory. Because I was a store manager for many years. Now that been said I was still working on wasn’t going back to return food and leave my kid waiting so never went back. In which i don’t understand how a store has only 1 manager working 7 days this don’t make sense since there has to be another manager supervising store while the store manager leaves. We have ordered from the restaurant on Lewis Ave. via the mobile app since moving to the area on five different occasions. The first four times, we received none of our orders correctly. In fact 3 of the times we received what was obviously someone else’s order. One other time the sides were not correct - close, but not what we ordered. This last time, we never received our order. The restaurant would not answer their phone (a sign they know they mess everything up) and when I drove to the store, they told me they could not help nor could they give me my $60+ in food. Ridiculous. Awful service. I will never order from here again. When I called corporate office I was literally asked if (1) I was sure I didn’t receive food - umm…I am hungry and angry. Yep. Pretty, sure. - and (2) asked why DoorDash would say it was delivered when it wasn’t.
