If i could rate 0 stars I would. In an attempt to treat my mother and father- whom is an elderly disabled veteran, i made a reservation for 3 on May 5th 2023, at 7pm. When we arrived, the front desk man was confused as to where to seat us, even though there were many empty tables near the entrance. Instead, he told us to follow him towards the back. In most restaurants this isnt an issue but seeing as the chairs and tables were so close to one another as well as askew, it was extremely difficult for him to navigate a safe path to the table. Once we all made it to the table, it didnt take us but 2 minutes to discuss dinner and decide since its Friday Fish Fry. We waited... and waited... and waited.... watching as people after us got seated then served while we were ignored and forgotten. After 10-15 minutes of patiently waiting, making eye contact and waving to the front desk man we decided to leave. As we started to walk out, the front desk man approaches my father and says "im sorry I was just coming to water you down, im not sure whats going on" to which my father replied "no you weren't, theres no water in your hand." And we left. If you are looking to treat your parents, significant other, a friend, or even yourself to a tasteful, respectful and delicious experience then seek it elsewhere. The decor is stuck in the 1970's and their hospitality is non existent, if you're lucky enough to be served food then maybe you could determine what that's like but do you want to take the chance? For us, we will never be back nor recommend this place to anyone as it was my first time there and my...
Read moreDon't bother! We came in at 1:30 thinking we would miss the lunch crowd. We did, but maybe not for the reasons we expected.
The place looked like it was nice at one time. Tablecloths made you think you were getting better service and decent food. That was not the case.
The service was very poor. The waitress very, very inattentive. I ordered a blue steak. The waitress had never heard the term before. I said the chef should know, she asked what it meant. I said VERY rare. I got medium WELL, which I immediately sent back. When the second one came, it wasn't even seared. Apparently the grill was not hot enough to do that without going medium well. 2/3 of the steak was fat and gristle, which I wouldn't expect from a $15.95 New York Strip Steak.
The soup of my companion was terrible, so terrible she asked me to taste it. It tasted like canned tomato soup with some saltines crushed in it to thicken and some added vegetables. We tried to flag the waitress, but she never came back until our entrees were ready. My companion asked for vegetables to replace the soup (which was the other option). Those came, but later (which is when I returned my steak).
We didn't even attempt dessert.
In looking at the restaurant we noticed it appeared unkept. The carpeting was dirty. The bathrooms were ok, but not really clean. I was at this restaurant years ago and was pleased. I will never go back.
Since this was to be a "treat" meal for me, my companion said she'll have to take me somewhere else that at least has tasty food so I...
Read moreFood was decent and everything was set up and beautiful as if they were prepared for us. However, the service was awful. Almost comical if we did not spend nearly $400.
I arranged our date for 10-20 people, ended up with nine... and gave Alioto's exactly what they required to be prepared. We didn't do anything wrong but the staff were short, rushed, and just weird. They were not welcoming at all. Only 2-3 other tables in the restaurant were being used/had customers and I counted three servers and one bartender.
No coffee was offered, no drink menu was offered, the soda pitchers I ordered ahead of time never showed up and the server TODD never introduced himself and literally had a nervous breakdown when asked to see the manager because of how he was treating us.
I thought I was in the Twightlight Zone or in a Saturday Night Live skit. Very odd experience. 🤔 What would they have done if we had had a party of 20 people when they struggled to handle a group of nine very professional individuals just out to have a nice evening with family to celebrate our cousin's birthday?
Everything about the service was wrong, wrong, wrong. Do better Alioto's but with someone else because our family and friends will NEVER be back. Not sure if you all are racist or just unstable.
Handicap accessible door didn't even work.🤦🏾♀️ I don't have the bandwidth to type everything that was inconsistent with the prearranged and agreed upon accommodations and overall poor service. 😕 GOODBYE FOREVER...
