Was taking a trip to waxahachie and friends found this breakfast restaurant. Google showed me they have Gluten free options. I have an allergy so I thought keys check it out. We went in and I was amidst over simulated. It was so loud and crowded. Almost every table was full. The place is busy in the weekend mornings that's for sure. But we did not have to wait for a table. Got one after saying party of 3, no reservation. Table was clean too despite how busy it was. Got our menus. The menus on Google showed labeled gluten free options. This one was not clearly labeled. Our waitress wasn't that knowledgeable about gluten, but did tell me they have gluten free options for waffles, French toast, pancakes and toast. So I ordered their breakfast combo. Had your choice of pancakes, waffles or French toast with 2 egg, 2 sausage, 2 bacon. I ordered toast on the side. When it came out I was surprised! Sugar topped waffles with plenty of whipped butter packets. And it's real butter. It melted quickly unlike margarine. The toast was big for gluten free! Almost like standard size of bread. 2 pieces. And the eggs? I order over easy and I actually got over easy! One got over medium and he actually got it cooked that way! Sausage patties were nice and soft. Still had some moisture with every bite. And bacon was a nice brown, but also soft and more meaty than fatty. This food was amazing! Friends order the steaks and eggs. They didn't complain so I think they came out how they should. Everyone was happy. And the orange juice! Best orange juice I ever had. I highly recommend this place. I did not get sick. But... if you have a gluten allergy be careful. I was informed they still use the same cooking surfaces and nothing dedicated. I am unsure of their practices. I might of got lucky but there is a risk for cross contamination. I took a risk and got lucky. If you don't mind the risk, the food is great! If you don't want to take any chance, then maybe try elsewhere. But this place was a great eat nevertheless! 4 stars on atmosphere cause busy and popular. No music, just a cacophony of noise like a a school cafeteria. Other than that,...
Read moreI had a bad experience. My wife and I went to try out this new restaurant. Food came out quick and looked ok. It was a bit loud and halfway through my breakfast of eggs benedict, I cut my bottom lip on the very sharp edge on the fork that was provided to me.
The waitress came over after a bit and asked me if I were ok & why are you bleeding? I replied that I just deeply sliced my lip on the fork & It was like a razer blade. She said she would get the manager which is the owner (Brian). He came over and asked what had happened?
I explained that their fork cut my lip- they are very sharp- even my wifes fork was sharp. He said he had opened up 13 restaurants and never had this happen before.Well, there is a first time for everything! He goes to the kitchen and comes back with three other forks & told me to feel them They are brand new and he gets them from Sysco his distributor. We'll at this point we didn't finish our breakfast and were so upset. I'm a diabetic and heal very slowly. He didn't seem to care nor did he remove those forks from table circulation.
In my opinion, the owner was a jerk and acted like we were seeking out a free meal. We paid our ticket and left our server a nice tip as she did a good job, even if it was top three worst breakfast experience we...
Read moreTook two of my children to have brunch at this place the server seems like she was preoccupied with everything but waiting on you. We took a little time looking the menu over the description of the food was 100% different from the taste. I had a simple meal of two eggs supposed to be biscuits and gravy hash browns sausage and bacon. The eggs were about the only thing on the plate that was edible. The biscuit and gravy was like a mouthful of nothing but all-purpose baking flour. The sausage had been hammered tasted burnt but there was absolutely no seasoning the sausage no good sage flavor or anything the bacon was so so and the potatoes were not exactly that great. When I brought to the server's attention about the biscuits it was like she got upset she said do you want my manager or do you want me to get you another one I said well I don't want a mouthful of flour she offered me toast and you get one piece. The entire cost of everything was not worth what was paid and so I do not recommend this place save your money go somewhere else but this is not the place to go to yes it looks very nice on the inside. But the taste of the food and the server it just ruins...
