First Watch — Restaurant in Waxahachie

I really wanted to like this location. I’ve been here a handful of times and service has never been great . First encounter were waiter trainees being rude and unprofessional with menu items. They were unaware of substitutions menu items and told me they would not make my food as requested to take a step further they told me I could speak to the manger if I didn’t like it . I was quiet the whole time. Manager came over unprofessional as well. Instead of asking what happened, It was relayed that I was having problems understanding menu items available. When I addressed the encounter the manager agreed that the menu item was available and apologized for the inaccurate information from waiter.

Second encounter were

Walked in and there was no wait time; there were openings everywhere to sit. I was not greeted or checked in by anyone for at least 5 mins or so. Everyone was crowed at the kitchen/bar area staring at me with no assistance . There were at least 5 employees standing there . A random employee coming out the kitchen saw and seated me. I was not assisted by anyone after that for 10 mins. The same employees were still standing there staring. Finally one of the males in the group walked over to assist Me but he looked unhappy and annoyed as if I was bothering him since no one else wanted to assist me. I expressed to him the last time I visited my order “healthy turkey” did not come out with everything listed in the menu and if he could make sure this time it would. I also asked if my food be fresh and hot as it was not the last time. He slightly acknowledged. He left me at the table unassisted the rest of my time there. He came and brought the food and walked away immediately. An elderly couple came in seated behind me he checked on them multiple times overlooking me and not making contact with me at all for any assistance . He came back and brought the check and walked off. When I called to him “excuse me” he acted as if he did not hear me so I had to wave my hand. I requested Togo box he brought it and left

Third encounter

I came with my daughter to eat. Establishment was busy ; we ordered our drinks and food. When the server came they handed me my healthy turkey bread and tomatoes . It took another 15 mins to bring potatoes. They did not bring my daughters food at all ands little. When asked the waiter admitted to forgetting to put her food in the system. My potato’s still did not come out. I asked for my food To be returned and brought out with my 6 year olds food. 20 mins go we are still waiting they bring out my food but only the omelette and tomatoes on the plate. My bread tooo additional 5 mins and my new fresh potatoes never came out I had to remind the waiter. At the end of our dining the check was brought out and I was charged for 2 sides of potatoes AND standard items that already come in the healthy turkey. When addressed again the bill was not fixed correctly as the healthy turkey items charges were still there. After 3rd attempt bill was corrected

I have been to Multiple locations in Mansfield, grand Pratie, and Arlington and NEVER had issues. TOP TIER food, Atmosphere and customer service. Something at this location needs to change as the food does not Come out hot, correctly, or even taste like it should; serving is inconsistent, atmosphere is not what it’s cracked up to be. If you are new to First Watch i recommend visiting Mansfield or Grand Prairie and give the food a try again. This location is convenient, we all know that doesn’t make it...

We’ve visited many First Watch locations and always had great experiences — but unfortunately, this Waxahachie location was the complete opposite.

We joined the waitlist online and were told it would be about 40–55 minutes. We arrived 20 minutes early to check in, yet still ended up waiting nearly an hour and a half to be seated. When we were finally called, the host walked us to a table that hadn’t been cleaned — crumbs, trash, and food all over the floor. My husband actually grabbed a broom to help before the host noticed and finished cleaning the area herself.

Once seated, we found that the seats hadn’t been wiped, and every set of silverware we were given was dirty. We ordered coffee, but had to send two mugs back because they were visibly unclean. Our waitress was sweet but very inattentive — we had to get our own syrup and coffee creamers, and even asked for plasticware and to-go cups just to dine with.

When the food arrived, no syrup came with it. After waiting another 15 minutes, my son finally got up to get some himself. By then, the food was cold, and the breakfast potatoes were burnt beyond saving.

At checkout, when my husband shared our experience with the cashier, her only response was “OK” before giving us our total.

We truly love First Watch and were excited to have one so close to home, but this visit was disappointing from start to finish. I really hope this location improves because it has so much potential — but for now, we won’t be...

Went to first wash this morning was so excited because I love the one in Grand Prairie and Arlington so I went to the New Location in Waxahachie . I arrive there I set at the bar, the bartender was very pleasant. He was very nice. I ordered a cup of coffee, which was good and hot I also ordered a waffle. I also ordered a skillet hash with no meat and no avocado, I was excited, Once my food came, it was full of bacon. The bartender sent it back to let them know cook know it has meat in the order.. I don’t eat meat. They were supposed to remake my order, but come to my finding bacon was still in my food so to me all they did was pick the bacon out of the food that I sent back and gave me the same food I sent back , I asked the manager The manager apologize, tried to remake it. I didn’t want it because they already been back twice so with me being me, I don’t trust it the third time. I just couldn’t believe that they would pick out the bacon and Give me the same food I sent back , They don’t know my religious reasons why I don’t eat meat. They don’t know if I had health problems to eating meat, but I stopped eating meat 10 years ago just to be a little healthier,I don’t go out too often, but I knew that this place would be great for breakfast, but needless to say, I’ll go back one more time just to see if they can get it right, but I would definitely advise everyone to go and visit first watch...
