On July 14th I visited the Waxahachie Ulta location. I was told by two separate employees that a specific product would be 40% off with the opening of a store branded credit card. I was told after my credit was ran that I would only receive 20% off the product in question. I was only told this information after a hard inquiry was made on my credit and the only reason this store card was opened was because I was under the impression that I would receive 40% off. Management at this location seemed flippant and completely disregarded the severity of the deception I experienced. When I informed them that the only reason I opened this line of credit was that I was under the impression that I would receive 40% off a high priced item I was informed that I can call the creditor and cancel the card. While true, that does not undo a hard inquiry to my credit history. I felt duped and lied to. I was also told that a 20% off promo would remain on my account since I opened the card, but upon calling a separate ULTA location (midlothian, they treated me with sympathy and respect unlike Waxahachie) I was informed that this was also factually incorrect. This separate location had to be granted special permission from Ulta corporate to still grant me 20% off. Additionally, I made multiple calls to Ulta customer service and the calls were either disconnected or could not get through to an actual person. Read moreI booked a makeup appointment here about two weeks ago for my wedding because my original makeup artist canceled on me. I come in (30 mins early) and the lady who was going to do my makeup took a walk-in for a hair cut which wouldn’t have bothered me originally. Other then the fact that she didn’t have me in the chair till 45 mins past my appointment time she spent an hour and a half on this one hair cut. My appointment was at 2 wasn’t till 2:50 I was sat in the chair for my makeup. I let it go because the other staff members were sweet enough. Then when this lady started she was using to small of a brush for eyeshadow so it was just straight harsh lines all the way up to my eyebrow. Then when she tried to contour that was just a straight line too. Also she didn’t really blend anything then when she did my lipstick it was crooked and basically left me looking like the wicked witch (ALSO I DID ASKED IF I COULD JUST FIX THE LIPSTICK MYSELF BECAUSE I KNOW THAT CAN BE DIFFICULT) of the west so by this point I’m leaving at 4 my wedding was supposed to start at 5:30. Run back to my house to get my makeup bag and was forced to do my makeup in the car because of bad planning and horrible management. I used to be a huge fan of ulta and now I’m NEVER coming back. Also if that’s not bad enough THEY USE THE TESTERS ON THEIR CLIENTS FROM THE STORE!!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME...
Read moreI tried to buy a promotion from smash box, and it happened to be the last one. It was still on the shelf, and I was actually really excited. I had been wanting this product forever. So I go the the check out line, and wait about 15 minutes. There was only one cashier, but like 5 others talking to each other; not acknowledging all of us standing in line. I finally get to the register, and the cashier then tells me I cannot buy the smash box product I've been dying to have forever, because it was the last one. I was like so? She then tells me I can't buy it, because there is no bar code. There's no way she can find it in the system, and she then told me that there will not be anymore coming in since it was a promotion. I wasn't upset with the cashier, but I did want to speak to management to see if there was something they could do. Well, management never came to the register to talk to me. I didn't want to hold any of the other customers up any longer. I was at the only register, until the second cashier finally came after about 30 minutes.
