Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in Waxahachie

Let me start with the service, it was great! The lady at the counter was very polite and attentive, I left my headphone case when I left. I called and explained to her to her and she was nice enough to get it and put it behind the counter so I could turn around and come get it. As far as the food goes I was not into it at all. The garlic knots were greasy and kept leaking into my beard, the flavor wasn't bad, just way too much grease or butter or whatever it was. The wings, they were somehow on the same level as 7-11(not a good thing) they don't really taste like much, and the meat is barley attached to the bone. I'm certain the cooking method was in an oven(not a fan) and the wings were grissly. The pizza was one the heaviest pizzas I've ever held that wasn't a Chicago deep dish. The meat used on the pizza had very little seasoning used in their making, I mean honestly it was disappointing and not enjoyable. The sauce on the pizza has no life, no flavor and the crust wasn't bad as far holding up, it just also suffers from lack of seasoning. I'm not sure if this place is better in other states, but for a Texan that loves pizza I found the to be bad and other than the atmosphere and service, not worth it. This restaurant just opened. Tried it on last Saturday the 14th . I was very pleased with the food . So of course most restaurants don't have a second or third same results especially if you liked it . Came by on Friday Dec 20th. Looked busy in the back . Yes they were working hard. I placed a yo go order was told it would be 30 minutes I understood. I waited about 50 and watched dine in customers receive pizza before me after coming in later than me who also placed an order at the location like I did . Don't know if dine in comes first or not but I was disappointed. I asked for a refund and left .

Update, Mountain Mike pizza responding on Google requesting me to contact them via the business website contact form. I did that . Going about a week and a couple days no response from them at all. I came in earlier today and the food was incredible. It was so crispy and delicious. The only issue is one of the managers really rubbed me the wrong way. (Unfortunately didn't get his name but he had grey hair) The employees were trying their hardest to keep up with the rush and from where I sat THEY WERE KILLING IT and he just kept crapping on all their efforts and it was clear to everyone there that the man was stressed out but that's no excuse for the way he was acting toward his people. If he cannot handle it, he is in the wrong business. As a mom, I just wanted to hug everyone and reprimand his behavior but instead, here I am. If you want productive, happy, and efficient employees, you need to treat them properly. I hope this changes. The food was amazing so I will for sure be back but please manager guy, change...
