Title: Disappointing Dining Experience at B Mac's: A Tasteless Affair
My recent visit to B Mac's left much to be desired, as the experience fell short of expectations on multiple fronts. From lackluster dishes to subpar service, here's why I won't be returning anytime soon.
To start, the appetizers were a letdown. The loaded nachos arrived lukewarm, with soggy chips and a sparse scattering of toppings that failed to impress. The onion rings were equally disappointing, greasy and undercooked, lacking the crispy texture promised on the menu.
Moving on to the main course, the B Mac's burger was a bland affair. The patty was overcooked and dry, devoid of any discernible seasoning, while the accompanying toppings seemed haphazardly thrown together, resulting in a flavorless mess. The side of fries was limp and under-seasoned, adding to the overall disappointment of the meal.
Even the salads failed to redeem the dining experience. The grilled chicken Caesar salad was bland and uninspired, with wilted lettuce and rubbery chicken that tasted more like cardboard than poultry. The dressing was cloyingly sweet, overpowering any semblance of flavor in the dish.
To add insult to injury, the service was lackadaisical at best. Our server seemed disinterested and inattentive, rarely checking in to see if we needed anything or if our meals met expectations. Empty drink glasses sat neglected on the table for far too long, a testament to the overall lack of care and attention to detail.
In conclusion, my experience at B Mac's was a disappointing one. From the lackluster food to the indifferent service, there are far better dining options available in the area. Save yourself the disappointment and steer clear of this forgettable...
Read moreThe food is good, like home cooking but nothing extra special. I had a bowl of banana pudding and it didn't have any bananas, just vanilla pudding and quite a few vanilla wafers. The service was good. The only bone I have to pick is with the owner. On Wednesday 8/14 we were leaving and the girl behind the counter at told us that if we came in before 3:30 on Friday or Saturday we would be able to eat the seafood buffet for lunch price. If we went after 4:00 we would have to pay $20.00. We went to eat about 3:25 on Friday, August 23rd. It was about 4:10 and my husband had reached for the spoon for the low country boil and the manager seemed to pounce on him and tell him he could not eat that on the lunch price. My husband told the manager what he had been told by the young lady at the cash register on 8/14. He then followed my husband back to our table where I corroborated what my husband told him. I was told that HIS employee did not say that, that they all knew what the rules were. He made it sound like we were stealing from him on purpose. That really makes me angry. So much for southern hospitality. That is not the way I was raised to be hospitable. He needs to learn what the words courteous and customer service means. If there was any other place in Waycross that served good southern country food, I would not go back. Oh, by the way, the floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned since they opened. Please see attached pictures. This is what I saw from my chair. I didn't wander all over the restaurant taking pictures. Read moreI walked in today for takeout. This review is based on takeout.
As I walked in there was no proper greeting to make me understand exactly how this place worked. I was told there was no breakfast menu and for me to look the bar to see the food myself. The host was blah, she had this weird attitude I couldn't really make out why. As I was standing right there, she spoke on the side allot to the young man that was standing there with a mask and gloves , perhaps he was cleaning. The amount of conversation she had with him when I was there felt very uncomfortable. The young man wasnt into talking to her as much as she was into talking to him. It was rude and I believe he knew, which is why he didn't engage with her.
Otherwise she "acted" nice.
If this is either a negative or positive for you, not all staff members are wearing mask nor gloves, but most of them are.
The person that greeted us was not wearing a mask nor gloves.
The food did not look dried up, It actually looked okay. I grabbed whatever food I was able to fit in my to go tray. The sausage was my favorite but the tater tots was disappointing. The tater tots tasted like a plastic bin.
Most of the food tasted good. I paid about $8 for many varieties of food and small portions.
I came home with the rest of food and my children destroyed it. My youngest daughter loved the bacon and my oldest daughter said everything was delicious besides the tater tots nd a dried sausage.
This review is based on my entire experience. The food was good I appreciate the...
