I had a bad experience with this restaurant with a fundraiser for a non profit preschool. The Co-op schools a nonprofit organization,it relies heavily on fundraisers & benefits the children.I was getting the runaround for months, as a volunteer was putting in more time & effort than them. On 9/13/19, I called spoke with the manager in regards to doing a fundraiser he told me to e mail him. I wrote him an e mail, never got back to me until I e mailed again. in the meantime I contacted someone in marketing at Corporate, scheduled a fundraiser for 10/23. I sent her back all info she asked for on 10/2.She than asked me for the school's logo, sent on 10/3 but never heard back.10/16, I emailed asking her if I would have to make a flyer, she sent it. After printing the flyers, dispersing them hanging them around the school, our schools name was misspelled. I emailed her (apologizing for bothering her) on the 18th once I realized the mistake, no response/apology. 10/21, I contacted the restaurant, I was nervous. Manager assured me that the staff there would know of the fundraiser, not to worry. On the day of the fundraiser I went for lunch, told them we were there for the fundraiser. Not ONE person even knew about it, there were 3 fundraisers that were organized for that day. I looked ridiculous, when in fact I went above & beyond to make sure that this event would work, on top of everyone else on their team, they made me look like a joke because of how poorly this was handled. We have 60 families in our school. we marketed it correctly. People did take out & dined in. Our school got 50+ groups of families in the restaurant, all everyone could say was what a mess your restaurant was. We were all so excited to raise money for our school & all knew it would be a ton of money we raised. From asking around, it has been estimated that well over $2,000 was accumulated for & NOT accounted for. 10/30, I emailed marketing, asking when I would get the check, No response. I called & spoke to the manager, & he said how it was a big mess up, people were fired. He apologized & said how none of the fundraisers were accounted for, how they did not know which fundraiser raised what & told me that between the first 2 fundraisers he would combine them, that all 3 fundraisers, 2 of them made about $1,000 each,3rd was about $200. He said he would send it over to corporate will get the checks out in 3-4 weeks, when the check was ready he would call me. He then said he was so sorry would make up for it by catering an event/something, never happened. I never received a call. 12/12 I called the corporate, was put on the phone with the girl in marketing I asked not to talk with since she ignored me. She told me she never received my W9, so they could not send the check. All sent in my e mail to her on 10/2. She said the school sold around $500 and we would get a check for $106, I knew in fact this was incorrect. I told her what the manager said I was Livid, ANOTHER mess up, I called back asked who I could speak to again, was told I would be called back by katie the director in marketing. No call. Im disgusted that I know how successful this fundraiser was for our school, was told that I would be only receiving $100 from it, the restaurant messed up, was dishonest. I know our fundraiser made over $2,000 alone, families, friends, etc. This is money was stolen from our schools pockets, we got customers in their doors, when they messed up. I was told after that they would do us a "favor",add another $100 because of the mix up, a total of $200. I called back, 12/16, even though I was never called back, I left a message. We got the people in their restaurant, made the restaurant a lot of money, for a fundraiser, it was horribly handled from beginning to end. Didn’t receive check owed to us until January. They indeed do not support nonprofit organizations like they are advertising. I did receive a phone call from the chief director, after writing an e mail complaining, however a few weeks after playing phone tag I never received...
Read moreI can’t say enough about our experience tonight! We brought a big party of high school graduates from our youth group to celebrate and they took care of us.
I called a few times in the last couple of weeks to inquire and set everything up for tonight. I spoke to a couple of people who were all amazing. Not just nice and polite, but overly kind and helpful. They accommodated my request to do a catering package while eating at the restaurant so it would be easy with the large party.
The general manager Louise is the ABSOLUTE BEST! She was extremely helpful through the whole process and went above and beyond the entire time. She made sure we were getting the best deals and looked out for the customers. We set up the menu ahead of time and everything was easy and stress free when we got there. She just made sure everything happened and we got to enjoy our conversations.
Our server, Victoria, was phenomenal! She was attentive and sweet. Even when she was taking our drink orders, she was advising another server how a regular client likes their drink. You can tell they really care for their customers and want to create the best experience for everyone.
The food was delicious and plentiful. We had Anthony’s classic salad, the margarita pie, Carnivori pie, Buffalo wings, classic pie, garlic knots, meatball pot, cookies and brownies. Not one thing disappointed us!
We have been here once or twice in the past, but kind of forget about coming here. But after tonight, they left a lasting impression on my husband and I and we will definitely...
Read moreI understand that these are difficult times, but I am truly disappointed in my take-out experience with Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza of Wayne. I have had wonderful take-out services with other restaurants and expected the same with them, since I frequently dined there prior to social distancing. Last Sunday, I ordered a special family bundle with an extra Italian family sized salad. They placed it in the back of my car, said goodbye, and thank you. When I arrived home, I realized that the salad was missing and called the restaurant. The manager apologized for the mistake, but he asked that I come at another time to pick it up instead of just crediting me the eleven dollars.
We called this evening to pick up the salad. They told us that it would be ready. My son waited over half an hour with multiple servers coming to clarify his pick up order, which means multiple interactions with people. After waiting in the parking lot for over forty five minutes (for a salad, mind you) another server asked him to clarify the order once again. I was livid. There was no reason for this! Being a rewards member, I'm truly disappointed that this restaurant did not just choose to credit my account instead. Very...
