Not sure why this place has gone to crap on the service aspect. I remembered years back the servers and staff were happy, approachable and overall RESPECTFUL. now it’s the complete opposite. We ate and the food was yummy, however the server goes by the name of “Sauce” since the moment we sat down had a nasty attitude. We were just trying to have a chill time so we didn’t ask for another server but honesty we should’ve. He asked us if we were eating and we said yes, then he continued to bicker with us that it isn’t that obvious that we would eat bc some people just drink or wait for other people, mind you we had already told him yes we are eating; he was talking to himself at this point. When we placed the order he failed to tell us that fries didn’t come with our plates but he offered them as if they did bc he failed to disclaim they were $5.99 extra! Then the food allergy we made known to be taken off the plate still came in the food, we made eye contact with him, raised our hand and said “excuse me” he looked right at us and continued walking. We got a manager’s attention, and he fixed our food with no issue. Then “Sauce” comes back 20 mins later asking if we wanted dessert but we were still waiting for food, we ordered drinks and they didn’t arrive on time. We got them at the very end, he said they got sent to the wrong table. We were so over it at this point. We asked for the check to be split amongst us, he was unable to do that. Once we were paying the bill in full; we went over the bill and there were three things that were put in twice and only two of those were crossed off. When we said hey this item is here twice his response was “what u think I’m tryina scam you” & continued to say things with an attitude, bickering once again. Instead of respectfully looking at what we were saying and finding out the issue. He had to go over to the back again to fix the issue and once he came back the bill was lower since we were correct about it being charged something extra. Now we paid and left 0% tip. Because a tip is something you work for not an entitlement. We were very uncomfortable with the service and the treatment we received.”SAUCE” STOOD BY US AS WE WERE TALKING ABOUT GIRL STUFF OUR LIPGLOSS, just there standing behind my friend, we thought he needed to give us a copy of the receipt or something but we had gotten that already; after about 10 mins of him just there i asked him, u need something from us? He says “do you need change for the tip?” We were like what? And walked away to buy our play cards, & HE FOLLOWED US!!!!! while we were making the line. This is harassment and if he would’ve approached us one more time i would’ve called the cops because what is wrong with this individual. We paid our bill and didn’t feel like he deserved a tip for his awful, disrespectful and uncomfortable service. Not to mention he needs grooming, his nails were awfully long to be working in food service. I don’t think I’ll ever eat here again if this is the kind of staff they have. The restaurant was not even busy. There were 4 tables at the time we ate. So there was no need to treat us like crap. Dave and Busters you need to do better. We will NEVER come back to...
Read moreWent there on a Saturday night to celebrate my brothers 30th birthday. I knew it would be busy being a Saturday night but I figured we could have drinks and play games while we waited for a table. Upon arriving they told us it would be an hour for a table. We headed to the bar for drinks and had good service and strong drinks from our bartender. This was the only good part of our visit. We headed to the games only to find them so crowded that there were lines for every single one. During the whole hour and 10 minutes we waited for a table we played ONE racing game, that's how crowded it was. We finally got seated at our table for 8 which had no menus or utensils. When our waitress finally came she provided menus. We put in a drink and appetizer order while we decided on meals. Once she arrived with our drinks we placed our meal order and informed her we had a birthday in our party which she replied to with the fact that we needed to order a cake in order to have them sing. So we did just that. Our appetizers arrived and we still had no utensils or plates. We had to track her down to get some. Our food arrived and we placed an order for refills. We ate our entire meal waiting for refills that never arrived. We flagged down another server and told him we were having a bad experience and still waiting on service only to have him ignore us. Once she came with the drinks AFTER we were finished, we just decided to ask for the check as we were done with the horrible experience. At that point another girl came out with a cake and just simply asked if he had ordered it....no song no special experience. Mind you we had seen the entire staff go to 2 other tables singing with candles and all and we got nothing, just and attitude and a dessert. We just told her to return it to the kitchen and then I went to hunt down the manager. He really seemed mortified at our experience and took money of our final bill and added credit to our play cards. This was after we had already spent almost $300 at the bar and on play cards before we were seated so of course we were upset at the whole experience. Needless to say we were over the entire thing at that point and I'm not sure we will even return to use...
Read moreDave and Busters feels like if your local arcade was bought by Disney. Like...is it nice, and flashy, and mostly functional? Sure. But the heart and soul of an arcade is gone. There's no line of people waiting at the fighting games placing a quarter for their spot, there's no coin gobbling side-scrollers with a near unbeatable boss to steal your quarters...it's just, bleh. Dave and Busters takes the arcade from your childhood and meshes it with a family restaurant and gacha games.
Alright, so let's take a closer look. The restaurant is inoffensive and mediocre. There's no crime there and, frankly, it's kinda what you want at an arcade. Quick food that isn't too messy. It's not good but it is identifiably food. The games are just aggravating though. The games are almost exclusively big carnival style games -- things like bag toss, fastest pitch, basketball shooting, plate breaking...it's all your favorites. There are hardly any game style games. If you want to find a fighting game or side scroller (think X-Men or Simpsons arcade games from the 90's) you're never finding them here. Everything is geared towards collecting tickets and as such, most game plays will last no longer than a minute. Speaking of the tickets, the prizes are awful and limited. They're all Dave and Busters branded now. There are a few high end prizes if you want to really save but most things are like a Dave and Busters sippy cup. Ugh, it's so frustrating!
So why the 5 star rating?
My kid loves it. Look, I'm realistic. This has to be exactly how my mother felt when I was a kid too. The kid loves it which means I love it. It's a sanitized version of a good experience (which I'll eventually find and switch to) and that'll do.
For the record, the staff is great at this location. Everyone is very nice and friendly. Happy to help and tries to keep things in working order. ...
