Christine's Cafe in Waynesboro, PA is a lovely eatery offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The atmosphere is somewhere between a coffee shop/cafe and small restaurant. Seating arrangements include booths, high tables, or there is seating in the rear cafe area. I dined during breakfast and enjoyed the Rancho Nuevo Omelet with Chorizo, Cheese, and Tomato. It was topped with fresh avocado along with sides of in-house salsa and sour cream. It also came with potatoes and two slices of toast. Price was $10. Size was perfect in my opinion. The pancakes here are huge, fluffy, clouds of sweetness. Definitely do not pass them up. Waitresses were kind and attentive to my family's needs. They do have high chairs if you need them. Recent remodeling removed the baby changing station in the restroom, so no great options to change a dirty diaper. Lunch at Christine's Cafe was not as good as breakfast. Stale corn tortillas were used in the Mahi Fish Tacos. The tortillas tasted off. Overall, I give Christine's Cafe three steaming hot cups of coffee...
Read moreMy family and I just moved to town a few months ago. We finally got a chance to go to this place and we were blown away. To start, we walked in at 8:20 and they close at 9:00 so we felt a little bad but they welcomed us in with no problems. Our server was so sweet, personable, and helpful. She interacted with my 19 month old and made us all feel so welcome. The spinach artichoke dip with fried pita pieces was to die for. We all got different entrees and they were all incredible. Their one side is a pineapple slice with tomato and zucchini and it's so different and delicious. Not to mention their mashed potatoes were chunky AND creamy! I had the sweet and sour Mahi and it was the best I had ever had. I also got an iced latte which was better than a Starbucks by a long shot. Dessert was decadent and fresh. I cannot wait to return to this establishment for breakfast and lunch. The atmosphere was so calming, clean, and unique. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped by for lunch today with an old friend and my neice. We are visiting from IL and our friend suggested the cafe. The service was lacking. 3 of the 4 of us ended up wearing a glass of tea. Of course my clothing took the grunt of it. The server said she was sorry however was not very apologetic. An older worker asked the server "is that how you treat all your guests?" I expected to have a manager check on us. But hearing a snarky comment being made was even better. We were kept at the same sticky table even though there were only a few other guests. The lunch was decent but not worth eating again. We were offered 2 free desserts for our trouble. I asked for them to go. My neice chose the red velvet cake. She ended up trying it in the car and said "I think it is bad!" I tried it. It tasted like it had been kept in a fridge for too long and had a funky taste to it. It was not edible. I picked a chocolate cake. That one tasted ok. Overall not the...
