Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Waynesboro

I ARRIVE AT THIS STORE TODAY TO PUCHASE SUB'S FOR COWORKERS. I ADVISED THEM THAT FROM MY PAST EXPERIENCES WITH THIS WAYNESBORO STORE THAT I DID NOT RECOMMEND IT, BUT THEY WANTED SUBS. I APPROACHED THE LINE AND THERE WAS NO ONE BEHIND ME AT THAT TIME. I TOLD THE LADY THAT WAS SLICING THE MEATS THAT I HAD 4 SUBS TO PLACE AN ORDER FOR AND ONE OF THEM I NEEDED TO CHANGE THE MEAT TYPE. ALL THE SUBS I ORDERED WERE FULL SUBS $18.95 EACH. I ASK TO HAVE THEM CUT IN 1/2 AND WRAPPED SEPARATELY. THE ASSOCIATE NEVER SMILED AND I THOUGHT MAYBE THEN I SHOULD HAVE WALKED OUT. IT SEEMS LIKE WHENEVER I COME TO THIS STORE, I HAVE TO REMIND THEM THAT THE #9 HAS BACON AND IF YOU LOOK AT THE MENU ABOVE THE COUNTER ITS STATES GRILLED APPLEWOOD SMOKED BACON. I ALWAYS HAVE TO REMIND THEM FOR FRESH LETTUCE NOT THE BROWN STUFF IN THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE PAN, THE BACON IS ALWAYS EXTREMELY OVERCOOKED AS IT WAS TODAY AND THE PERSON THAT IS WRAPPING THE SUBS, ALTHOUGH HE HAD THE BLUE GLOVES ON, TAKES THE CASH AND THEN PUTS A GLOVE ON WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS BEFORE PLACING A NEW SET OF GLOVES ON. THAT DEFEATS THE PURPOSE, YOU HANDLE CASH AND THEN GET GLOVES?? THAT IS STILL CROSS CONTAMINATION. MEATS ARE PLACED DIRECTLY ON THE COUNTER NO PAPER UNDER THE MEAT AND TODAY THE PERSON MAKING THE LAST SUB TOOK THE MEAT AND CHEESE AND THEN SLAPPED IT IN THE PERSONS HAND THAT WAS HANDLING THE CASH THEN THE PERSON HANDLING THE CASH HANDED THE MEAT AND CHEESE RIGHT BACK TO THE SUB MAKER. I ASK WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT AND WAS TOLD BY THE PERSON HANDLING THE CASH THE SUB MAKER HAD TO ADD MAYO. I REFUSED THAT SUB AND WENT TO 5 GUYS AND GOT THE OTHER CO-WORKER A HAMBURGER INSTEAD, WHICH SAID WAS FINE WITH THAT AFTER EXPLAINED TO HER WHAT THESE 2 MEN DID AND HOW THEY HANDLED HER FOOD. I DO THINK I HAVE A REASON TO CONTACT THE HEALTH DEPT AND FILE A COMPLAINT REGARDING PROPER FOOD HANDLING. I CAN DEAL WITH THE ATTITUDES BUT NOT RISKING A PERSONS HEALTH. WE HAVE WAY TOO MANY FOOD BORN ILLNESSES IN THIS COUNTRY WITH JUST FOOD ITSELF BEING CONTAMINATED. YOUR ESTABLISHMENT NEEDS TO TAKE ANOTHER APPROACH ON WHO TOUCHES THE FOOD THAT OTHERS ARE GOING TO CONSUME. CASH AND CREDIT CARDS ARE LOADED WITH ALL TYPES OF BACTERIA AND MICROORGANISMS THAT CAN'T MAKE A PERSON VERY SICK AND EVEN KILL. THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO...

Absolutely no understanding of basic directions 5 out of 6 times that I asked for my sandwich to be cut a certain way and still not done correctly! I live in Stuart's Draft and frequent the waynesboro store but after repeatedly not having my simple directions followed I decided to go to stuanton and they was out of the rosemary parmesan bread so I went to the waynesboro store reluctantly and sure enough my directions was not comprehended while I was paying I looked up to see my sandwich being cut against the simple directions I kindly given and they was polite about it and asked if I wanted it remade and at this point the line was ten people at the least and I didn't feel I should cause people to wait on me so I declined and got a standard sorry about that as always and I left but I didn't make it out of the parking lot before I went back in and left my sandwich on the counter and left I didn't ask for refund or anything I just want my very simple directions followed. I know it's simple directions but if it's so simple how come it can't be done. Absolutely done with Jersey Mike's in Waynesboro VA. I'm Absolutely disgusted. There's no point in asking how you would you like something if they don't listen. The guy working the lunch shift today is horrible. I'm sorry the other works are stuck with that entitled attitude.He was hanging out talking to his friends while working during lunch with a line all while his friend has his hairy arms and hands all over the meat display case touching everything in site. I said I don't know if you realize your touching things that are used to make others subs to which he responds it's okay I'm talking to my friends who work here.

Pure rich entitlement, never had to work for a thing in is life not understanding.

The guy working just rolled his eyes like expecting sanitary conditions in a food service industry area is not his concern.

He continued to just talk to his friends from behind the counter while the other lady's helped all the customers.

No one was kind or polite or gave any indication that they cared whatsoever about any aspect of there job.

I suppose this is now normal sales practices of the workforce we get when no one wants to pay an employee a livable wage.

The guy should no longer work there though his attitude and entitlement is going to continue to destroy...
