I have always loved this location. They are 9/10s on top of it. Very fast, efficient, I rarely ever have to wait long when I use my mobile order app.
But Sunday 10/8, morning Starbucks crew was a hot mess (around 10am). In total, I waited 25 minutes for my drink. When my drink didn't appear to be being made, I asked about it. The male barrista responded with a snarky remark "we are working on it."
No buddy, you're not. I went to the cashier to ask about my drink. No one can find my ticket, and had to be written on the cup, after I'd already placed my order 20 minutes earlier. Finally, after a few minutes, the guy made my drink.
It is because of this that I asked about my drink, as I knew it had been messed up. So again, didn't appreciate his comment.
What was most upsetting was how fast drive thru customers got their drinks. I really wish I had gone through drive-through because they didn't seem to care about the people in the lobby. At the bar, about 8 customers were standing there waiting for an excessive amount of time. While waiting for his final drink, another customer noticed and spoke up about how quickly the drive-through was moving while he was still waiting for them to finish his order.
I understand you'll have to wait, certainly on a Sunday morning. I get that. But what was frustrating was the lack of organization, sense of urgency, and efficiency. On a super busy day, I've still seen this Starbucks move like no other and I don't mind waiting if I see the employees hustling, but I did not get that sense on Sunday morning. There was a obvious discrepancy between how quickly drive-through guests got their drinks and those who placed a mobile order and went inside. I'm assuming they had a handful of new people working and not a strong shift lead to give direction and model that...
Read moreI stopped by here to load up on the caffeine and to get my dog a treat before continuing on my roadtrip back to Alabama. This location is ideally located with easy access from and to the interstate. The facility is clean and the grounds are well-maintained. I utilized the drive thru and the service was fast from placing my order to picking it up. I ordered a pup cup for my pooch and asked for a Trenta (yep, 31 glorious ounces) of iced coffee with 3 shots of espresso and vanilla flavoring. I think that's called a Red Eye, if I'm not mistaken. The nice folks working the drive thru carefully listened to my request and modifiers. They made recommendations for cream and sweetener. My virtual gift card worked flawlessly at the pickup window and the wonderful barista said hello to my dog while handing me his pup cup. The iced coffee/espresso blend was perfectly mixed and caffeinated my soul. The next time I need a pick me up on the VA-AL route, this will be...
Read more@Black Coffee. Good for you for blowing the whistle. Whether you are an employee or customer is irrelevant. You have, by submitting a public review, brought your concerns to the manager. Indeed, it’s unlikely that “Yuri Petrov” is merely a customer. In-person confrontation on such a number of issues can be tricky and overwhelming, and you are smart for remaining confidential. It was said you should “nut up” and bring your concerns to the manager. This sounds suspiciously like “come say that to my face”— a threat, and an attempt to intimidate. Perhaps this is precisely the kind of bullying to which you’re referring in your review? I sincerely hope you find better work. Waynesboro Starbucks is absolutely a...
