Skinny's Hamburgers — Restaurant in Weatherford

Y'all, this is a true local, hole in the wall place. You don't expect glammer when going to Skinny's. But what you can expect is some dadgum delicious food! We came in with a decent size, after church, group. As folks were getting their burgers and the "Oh my goodness!" and "I believe these are the best burgers in Weatherford!" I was really starting to regret my decision of the BLT I ordered. Shew buddy! That was a BLT worth buying and eating friends! Hands down, best BLT I have ever had. But, Danielle, it's just a BLT. What in the world could be so good about a BLT, you say? Well, let me tell you! The bread was toasted perfectly, and in such a way, it didn't tear up the top of my mouth with every bite. The bread was soft and buttery and just the right thickness. They were NOT stingy with the bacon. I think I got a quarter of the pig! I jest, friends, I jest. But they weren't when they piled that sandwich high! The tomatoes were just right to blend so well with the mayo. And of course, I had to add a slice of cheese. It was perfection! Chef's kiss! So all that to say, head on over to Skinny's. Enjoy the downhome, picnic style atmosphere and get you one of the best dang sandwiches...

I was so excited to visit this place as it was so highly recommended by a friend. Sadly I was equally disappointed. I ordered the chicken fried steak platter and my husband the catfish basket. The salad arrived promptly and was crisp and fresh with chopped tomatoes and cheese shreds. Plenty of dressing as well as crackers and croutons were provided. Unfortunately the entrees were not equal in quality. While my CFS had a beautiful, golden batter and plenty of gravy I found it too peppery to enjoy. I have never had a CFS that pepper rendered too hot to eat. It was plenty tender and I ate several bites hoping that the pepper was not throughout. I finally gave up. The fries were very good and plentiful. The catfish was similarly over seasoned but with salt. My husband slogged his way through one of the 3 generous pieces before also giving up. I am glad I didn't tell my friend we were going so now zi don't have to share with her how disappointing it was. I don't mind spending $40 on a meal except when I have to bring most of it home...

This was our first time to eat there, Saturday 10-14. We don't live in Weatherford, and we drove past it on our way to another event. I have to say that we both really enjoyed our lunch visit. We both got the half pound burger. I thought it was well cooked and had great flavor. The person taking orders at the counter was very friendly and helpful, as she could tell that we had never been there before. We had a nice picnic table out on the wooden deck area, and they even delivered our order to us. Everyone was very pleasant and courteous to us. We had to take home some of the corn nuggets, because the one order is more than enough for 2 people. My wife ordered the cheese tater tots, and her reaction was that they were fantastic.
