Hardee’s — Restaurant in Weaverville

I do not typically rate restaurants one star, but I've been disappointed time after time, back-to-back with this Hardee's location. The previous two times that I visited, I went in to get my orders, and I wound up waiting about five or so minutes to get my order, wherein the fries were cold both times. Not lukewarm, like, ACTUALLY cold. But this most recent visit took the cake.

Yesterday, I visited this Hardee's and once again went inside for a to go order, just two Super Star combos, one burger plain. I waited for just over fifteen minutes, sitting in the lobby. Whole restaurant reeks of weed. Food gets handed to me, and because I'm used to being burned by wrong fast food orders, I check the bag. Both burgers are regular when one of them should've been plain. I flag down the employee who took, helped prepare, bag and deliver my order and she asks for a receipt. I was never given nor was I offered a receipt. She takes one of the burgers from me and throws it into a nearby trashcan. Then I wait for another five or so minutes and eat a couple fries, noticing that they are cold and oversalted to the point of them being almost inedible. She comes back and slides a boxed burger across the counter to me without a word. By the time I got home, all but the plain burger was cold.

This location needs to be worked on. Food is never ready and needs to be prepared, with the exception of fries which they ignorantly bag before the rest of the food has even been made, so it gets cold by the time you finally get your food. But I could forgive all of that if the food was actually good, but it's not. I don't know if they're not changing the grease when they should be or what, but the chicken tenders taste harsh, and the burgers are dry. The one time I got a milkshake, there was way too much strawberry syrup it was sickening. I used to love Hardee's but man, I don't know...

9 Nov 2024 1330 pm Parking lot has trash all over. No outside trash cans, inside trash cans full. Went to the counter to order and it was dirty with dried liquid. We waited for Kayla to finish gossiping to the pink haired man manager about the ambulance outside and got details about the men outside that fell. Trying to order it was interruption as she kept peering outside. While waiting for our food I really had second thoughts looking at the disgusting kitchen. Biscuits piled up uncovered from breakfast, long hair hanging all over as they prep the food, no gloves and using bare hands, flour or something white all over the floor, trash and food on the floor, there was food under the fryer that looked old. The lobby was dirty. My sister didn’t want the tiny cup of coleslaw for $2.19. Literally about 2 tablespoons. I return to the store and make eye contact with the dark haired shoulder length gal whom was working the back and another guy. I wait and wait as they chat and then she says,” DO YOU WANT SOMETHING”? WHOA! Excuse me? I said that IS NOT very customer service like! I asked for my money back and thanked her. She said,”I’m sorry I said it that way”. Apology acknowledged. I want for the owner to know their store is not being taken care of, at least on this day and these times. Pull your video if you want. There was enough staff, enough time after breakfast to clean! They had time to come outside and smoke cigarettes too! Employees want $$$ yet don’t even take pride in their workplace, then complain it’s not enough $$. The Health Department would have had a hay day here. Coach your team if you give any kind of concern...

Popped in for some fast food on a long road trip. There was one car in the drive-thru and two couples in the dining room - one had been served, the other hadn't. Placed my order and waited... and waited.... and WAITED.

I watched one worker use gloves to clean a drain and empty a mop bucket (scooping remnants from the bottom by gloved-hand). Then he walked directly to the burger station and completed a burger with those same gloves! He started another one and then had a visible ah-ha moment and changed his gloves. I pity the customer that got that burger.

The lady making apple pies dumped them on a serving tray (how often are those washed??) and used ungloved hands to place them in the sleeve. At multiple points she stopped to grab her pants by the tooshie waist, placing her thumb near her bottom crack to pull them back up, and went right back to handling the pies. The utter disregard for hygiene and safe practices here is intense.

The 3-person staff were lazy, idle and slow. Three parties is nothing, there should have been no problem serving them/us in short order. I waited 22 mins for two burgers and a large fry. The buns were half toasted, the pattys burnt to a crisp.

The entire time I waited not one person said anything to me, even though I was the only person at the counter. When I was finally given my order, the lady at the counter said "thank you for your patience". After a 22-min delay for fast food, where workers are visibly unhygienic and food is burnt, I was not patient.

I took my order and left. Will certainly not return and frankly...
