I went to this restaurant with eleven people for a birthday. When we sat down, we were given one bowl of chips for 11 people. It took a long time for someone to come and take a drink order, and we asked for more chips and salsa at this time. It took a long time for the drinks to come, and they were not correct - not a huge deal with 11 people. We asked again for more chips at this time as we still had only gotten the one bowl of chips. Some time later, one more bowl of chips and a red salsa were brought. The first bowl was empty, so we were sharing one bowl of chips and had no green salsa, which is what most of us preferred. We ordered our food. The restaurant was out of pizza, so the two kids with us had to order different food. It took a long time for the food to come, and some of it was incorrect. Some of our drinks had been empty for a while at this point, and they were not refilled after we asked for refills. Refills came out all together for about half of us when we were almost done eating. When we got done eating, we were still waiting for chips and salsa and drinks. However, we had given up at this point. We waited for our check for quite some time after we were all done eating, with no chips, drinks, or food on the table. We hardly ever saw our waitress and had to ask the waiter of the table next to us if he could tell her we needed our checks. Our checks included 20% gratuity due to table size even though we hardly saw the waitress the whole time we were there. I would have complained to the manager, but at this point we had already been there for 2 hours and did not want to wait another 30 minutes. The restaurant was fairly empty, so I am not sure why it was so difficult to get anything. I will not come back again. Would...
Read moreLet me start off by saying that we were surprised it was empty so we were excited when we found it cause we drove from Alvin, looking for somewhere to eat but all the places seemed to be packed because it was 1 pm. There were 3-4 parties there when we arrived. No one was upfront so it took them about 6-7 minutes to seat us because of that. Waitress was sweet but not at all attentive. Got my drink with no straw and was already halfway through with it by the time she came back around. Had to ask for more salsa because ours ran out( mind you there was no one really there). Another person , whom I assumed was the bartender, actually asked me if I needed another drink because mine was empty when he served us our appetizer that took 20 minutes to come out. Asked for a to go plate and usually that indicates the meal is at an end and was waiting for 15 minutes for her to come back around before I got up to ask the hostess where do I pay at and that I have yet get my bill. She said “ at your table.” I told her “ How? I have not received my bill,” she asked who was my server and she just happened to pop out the back and I pointed to her. The waitress was sweet but ultimately did not do her job. It was frustrating to wait so much in such an empty place. I see why they were so empty now. Definitely will never go there again and do not recommend it.Food was mediocre at best. I would give it a 6 out of 10 as the beans and rice barely seemed warm. Chips were very thin and the red salsa was probably the best thing...

Maria our server, with voice so sweet, Well-modulated tones, a friendly treat. With every word, with every smile, She made our dinner more worthwhile.
The menu? Endless! A carnival of choice, Each dish could tempt, each plate could voice A song of flavors, bold and true— But one “Houston Plate” stole the view.
And wow! That platter—big as Texas skies, It made my husband’s and my hearts rise. Beef, shrimp, sausage, chicken, and quail, Grilled to perfection, they never did fail. Juicy, tender, smoky delight, Every single bite felt just right.
Oh guacamole, you shining green star, Not sour, not lemoned, you raised the bar. Fresh pico beside you, crisp and bright, A salsa symphony—pure delight!
We ate, we laughed, we sighed, “Oh my,” For prices so low, we wondered why. Such bounty served for such a steal, A feast so hearty, a perfect meal.
The restaurant hushed, no chaos near, Peaceful dining—music to the ear. Tables spotless, atmosphere warm, Like home in calm, a friendly charm.
My husband grinned with every bite, His plate was joy, his mood was light. Together we knew, beyond a doubt, This gem’s worth bragging, worth shouting out!
