I used to come to this whataburger often years ago. I was surprised by the lady at the front. She had a voice that carried so it was good to see her directing the crowd upfront. My initial impression was that of an authoritative personality, oh boy was I completely wrong!
"I can take your next order please! Wait not you the gentleman back there!"
As she assertively directs the big crowd. A middleaged gentleman walked up ran his QR code. I can't recall the exact exchange, but from what I remember it was warm and friendly. He walked off and she gave him a kind thank you! I'm thinking to myself they must know each other.
There was boy in front of me who I saw in my way in who rode a bike down nasa 1. He pulled out a gift card as he approached the counter. He couldn't speak English very well. There was a bit of struggle with communication as he pointed to menu above the woman. He ordered a number 10! Then an interesting thing happened, she started asking him in spanish (with a hint of an accent).
¿Media or grande, queres queso?
I think he ordered medium, no cheese for sure! Now its my turn to give my order.
How are you?
I'm fine, how are you doing?
"Oh I'm blessed, I moved here from Alabama. I came her and got married. I think God for that, see that lady over there she's my boss and my family! "
It was a very positive and enjoyable exchange! She told me that her colleagues in the back helped her learn spanish, and she described them as her family. Truly the best part is that this wasnt the component of the interaction that blew me away! As I'm grabbing my lunch she proceeds to leave because she's done with work for the day!
As she walks out she's giving hugs to customers, shaking hands and thanking them for eating here! She comes my way and says:
"Thank you, I hope you enjoy your day!"
And gives me a gentle fist pump. I'm almost at lost for words! This quite literally some of the best customer service I've experienced. AT A WHATABURGER ON NASA ROAD ONE! I had to share this on...
Read moreLook. I am A HUGE Whataburger fan, just as much as the next Texan. It's one of the only fast food chains i still frequent. Im not one to write reviews much, and much less negative ones. (people have their bad days that's completely understandable) But this. particular. location. IS. TRASH. Tonight marks the SIXTH time within 3 months that this location has given melol the incorrect/incomplete order. In november, i went for breakfast and ordered a honey butter chicken biscuit with sauce on the side- and they bestowed onto me a plain sausage biscuit. (didn't go back, this was the first time, so i just shrugged the incident off.) Next time i went for breakfast they forgot 2 tacos. Third & fourth time my partner brought some Whata home for dinner only to find his food missing both times. The FIFTH time is when I finally went in and complained. I was heading out for my vacation and wanted to get some Whataburger before i left Texas for a week. When i received my order, I ASKED THE ATTENDANT IF ALL OF MY FOOD WAS IN THE BAG. (burger, tacos) She assured me that she checked, and all food was to be accounted for. As i'm sure you've guessed- it. was. not. That woman straight lied to my face. I really don't want to seem like that insufferable customer, but when as a business, representing a MUCH loved name, you CONTINUOUSLY fail your customer base, it is a badge of shame on the facility. Tonight, my partner ordered me chicken bites, only to be given a BURGER. (like, how can you consistently get things so wrong?!?!) There is no excuse for the continued lack of quality from the service at this location. Corporate needs to make this location take responsibility for their errors, and stop ridding their customer base of their dollars.

Read moreUpdate: This place continues to give bad service. They get your order wrong and then slam the window in your face and roll their eyes at you like it's your fault. I guess it is my fault for being lazy and not wanting to drive to the one on El Dorado and 45. I won't make the mistake again. 0 stars even 6 years later. 😒
I was really hoping this place would redeem itself, but unfortunately, they got my order wrong twice in a row. The first time we went, we ordered no onions on my burger, and of course there were onions. My husband asked for cheese and mayo, none of the usual sauce on his chicken sandwich, and there was no cheese or mayo and it had the sauce that he doesn't like on it. Then I asked for all of the fries to be done crispy. I had 3 orders of medium fries. I received 2 orders of soggy fries that had been sitting there for a while. They were very cold. I called and spoke to Justin, and he said he would replace the entire meal next time I was in. Well, we went back in a few weeks later on 10/31 around 5 and even added 2 of their chicken tacos with cheese to our order. Thankfully before we walked out the door, I noticed that they did not add cheese to our tacos, so we had them add cheese. Unfortunately, this only made our fries colder than they already were. I always ask for crispy fries so that they are hot when I get them. The fries were not as soggy as the first time, but because the fries were done way before our food was, they were luke warm when we received them. When we got home to eat, again my burger had onions on it, and my husband's chicken sandwich was completely dry with no cheese. Seriously?! Twice in a row! Also, the chicken had a weird texture, almost rubbery. Such a disappointment! If you want fresh, hot food prepared the way you want it,...
