Pretty room, delicious food at Singh's Cafe. The dining room is down a few steps, so feels very cosy and pleasant. We have dined there many times over the years, and always have been delighted.

After we ordered dinner the waiter brought each one of us a small bowl of spinach soup, a treat and nice way to start. Lamb samosas were hot and came with a tray of condiments to make them spicier or add a little sweetness. That's a popular appetizer and can be vegetarian. In fact, it is easy to stay with vegetable dishes for the whole meal.

Lamb Korma and chicken in dal sauce were delicious. You can order whatever level of spiciness that you prefer, from mild to really, really hot.

The waitstaff is friendly and efficent. The room is pretty, and the table is set nicely, with authentic thalis, metal plates. Very sanitary.

Singh's has a liquor license.

There's plenty of street parking. Singh's was doing a brisk takeout business for customer pickup and the delivery services. As mentioned, the dining room is down a few steps from the street level, so is not handicap accessible for a wheelchair.

There is a buffet at lunch every day of the week. They take reservations, but the dining room has not been very...

I was sick of eating at below par so called 5star rated indian restaurants by many popular websites in Jamaica plains and boston area as well as some restaurants in Arlington area(which are the worst). But, after eating at "Singhs cafe" I can say I finally ate true indian Food. I am very particular about food and the servers of that food, but their servers at the restaurant were good even when it was a buffet, I highly recommend this place. Few recommendations: -let's ensure that all food Container items even "rice" is labelled since these tend to get lost in many containers around it if not labelled. let's ensure that servers are always polite even when the question is about asking where a container is food aka rice is placed. Out of habit, servers know where items are but a new visitor may not know and should not be worried either, to know where an item is if it's labelled well. If not labelled and asked for it servers should politely offer to help and not express surprise along with a tone of indifference as if the...

What a disaster. Ordered online, take-out, on Mother's Day. Order went in 6:24 pm, the Menufy system indicated that the food would be ready at 6:44 - 6:59 pm. Got there at 6:55 pm, the wait area was packed (Covid code compliant, not likely). I was told 45 minutes from order time, so returned at 7:20 pm, still packed in the wait area, still no order. Some had put in orders at 5:45 or 6:00 pm and were still waiting, were told 1 hour when ordering by phone. I left again, returned at 8:10 pm, my order just coming out of the kitchen. One gentleman said he had been waiting 2 hours. So, they were busy, it was Mother's Day. But they were also totally dishonest with their customers, and their online order system is completely useless in providing information about pick-up times. Have been regulars, but not after tonight. Pity, because the food is delicious, but is NOT worth this type of...

I had driven by this place a couple of times and was curious. My aunt and I love to try new Indian food spots so we decided to give it a go. Initially parking was a bit tough because there were meters but also signs saying we couldn't park there. I decided to risk it and park anyways, which worked out fine in the end I didn't get a ticket. The restaurant itself is extremely comfortable and cozy, while tables are still socially distanced. The food was absolutely divine. We had the veggie samosa starter and then I had the butter chicken and my aunt had the chicken curry. We also ordered a naan bread. The flavors in the curry were perfect and the naan was huge and soft and melts in your mouth. Another top option for Indian food in the area

I ordered delivery through an app. I found the lamb samosas to be disgustingly oily with a pool in the container, and the chicken tikka masala was gritty, like the amount of spices was too much and they hadn’t been cooked down enough. I asked for medium spice, and while I fished out a red bell pepper, there was no heat to speak of. The onion chutney, which I usually find has heat, was also very mild. I did appreciate that they included onion and tamarind chutneys with the samosas. The naan was fine. This restaurant had come highly recommended to me by several people, so maybe I’ll give it another shot if so, I will update my review accordingly. But at this point, I am not sure I will be back; it’s just not worth the money.
