I’m reviewing this as a sandwich shop. That being said, this place is more well known as a bakery focused on bread making. They had two counter service people working. Both were incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. It’s a good looking operation, but it may be a little all over the place with its purpose. I say this as it did present itself as a bakery cafe with specialty foods, but had a lot of Knick-knacks possibly just to fill space. As for food, they were on the right track with showcasing their bread options in their sandwich selections (again, a strength). They just fell flat on their condiments and the amount and quality of the protein. Content was lacking and what I thought should be two tasty choices fell real flat and to the point of leaving a bad taste in our mouths. The culprits here were condiments: garlic aioli and pesto. Way to strong. The other issue was the pressing process. Whatever they used made the incredibly fresh bread dense and heavy. I like some other reviewers was feeling like this was going to be a 5 star review prior to eating the sandwiches. Hey, the positive is with just a few changes they could easily fix this and improve. Focus on a fuller, fresher sandwich and get some input on what accoutrements would highlight their awesome bread choices. Steer clear of overpowering add-ons. I’ll still go back and buy products from these guys. Again, they seem to be really nice people with very reputable baked goods.

Bummer. We got there a little late in the day but, despite being a labeled a bakery it seems like more of a sandwich shop. No real loaves for sale so we skipped the bread. Kid wanted a smoothie. $7. That’s fine. Except it is 100% not a smoothie. It’s a slushee - just a couple of pumps of flavored syrup and ice and even my kid didn’t want to drink it. 0/10. Do not recommend. Staff was friendly and nice.

I absolutely LOVE this place! My new favorite sandwich shop in town!!!! They have the best sandwiches!!!! My favorite is the turkey bacon melt with cheddar cheese and raw onions. I've had both the multi-grain bread and just recently tried the rosemary bread! It is to die for!!!! Prices are reasonable. The girls are so pleasant and social!!!!

Nasty place to work, mold growing every where. Never properly clean and sanitize, work stations, machines are just wiped down. Not properly sanitize following Maine Health regulations. Never wash pans utensils, cutting and perp tables. They leave raw products uncovered just close the box with rasin, nuts, grains all raw ingredients not properly stored. 5 gallon bucket of molasses just sitting on the floor of an old rusty walk in. No cover nothing prevents mice and other contamination from happening. Called Health Department and filed a legal complaint. Health inspector I spoke with said this place is constantly being warned, fines, nothing works. Close this place and give another company a chance to serve Wells and other communities around something good and worth spending money. Huge embarrassment for other local businesses. That really care about there customers and company. Have 🐁 droppings in their flour bins. Serve old slimming pieces of ham, chicken. They tell u just to rinse off and Don't throw anything away. So I Dear you to stop by and tell us what you see and think. Problem is big petroleum company's shouldn't run food business 🤔. Stick to selling petroleum products honestly give no star its embarrassing to have them...

I worked here and have seen first hand what goes on..from the retail management arguing like highschool girls and making thier employees very uncomfortable..to the retail bakery "boss" doing nothing but stealing from the company and sitting on her butt all day...to there being a nasty hole in the ceiling above the soup that drops insulation into the soup!! Yes they know about it..and no they never fixed it! So much going on in this store..I notified the "so" called upper management about it "all"..and guess what happened. I show up for work the next day and am accused of stealing money (lol) a Whopping $7dollars to be exact. Which is wayyyyyy more money then the retail bakery "boss" stole from them every single day..feeding herself..her kids..and husband that happens to be empkoyed next door at the hardware store. Such a joke!! I could go on and in here....but I'm sure you get...
