We were SO excited to try this place! It’s in a great spot and the space is beautiful. It has a lot of potential!
When we arrived, we told the server we’d never been in before and asked what they had on tap. She told us the names of the ciders, but didn’t give us any sort of description. It would be great if that info was listed somewhere! We ended up getting a flight and were underwhelmed. The flavors were all very similar. If I didn’t know there were four different ciders, I would’ve guessed there were only two. It was disappointing that there were only four ciders on tap. If a place has the word “cider” in the name, I expect more than four ciders, and certainly more flavor profiles.
There was only one server, and she disappeared for quite a while to go get food for another table. We were waiting to pay so we could head out, and two other groups were waiting to order. Overall, the service was lacking and we felt like we were an inconvenience by being there.
All in all, we might try this place again after a while once they’ve worked out the kinks. But for now, we’ll stick to our tried and...
Read moreWe met Sarah, the owner of Watercore, at a separate event outside of the brick and mortar location. We had a great visit, discussing the ciders available at the event (Dutchess was especially delish!!!) as well as the cider-making process. She was so kind and generous in sharing her knowledge. The ciders were beyond what I imagined and there is no comparison with generic grocery store cider. As visitors to Wenatchee, we will miss visiting her establishment’s open hours. If I could extend the stay long enough to try more of the ciders on tap, I would. Watercore is at the top of my wish list for a future...
Read moreWe called in here to check it out and we're very pleasantly surprised. Pie is their thing, which is different and I like a nice pie. We didn't sample the food as we just stopped for a quick drink. After reading the menu I reckon we are going to have to come back to have pie.... why wouldn't you?? Only negative is the acoustics in the room - it was quiet as a church when we were there. I'd imagine it to be quite noisy when full. Maybe...
