FIFTH EDIT: This place closed their lobby at 6pm on a Saturday night. I had to pick up a doordash in the drivethru that took 20 minutes. 1 star.
FORTH EDIT: 3 years later... I tried Jack in the Box again for the first time in 3 years to see if it's any different. Huge difference in quality and experience. Can order on the app now which is nice, but their prices have increased with quality. The Spicy Chicken that I love has changed, different seasoning, different bun, but it's a good change it's actually pretty spicy. I would go back again, just wish prices were lower but everything is expensive right now. Upgrading to a 4 star from a 1 star. Hopefully you're still around next time I crave you JITB!
THIRD EDIT: SATURDAY JULY 29. 12 NOON. LUNCH TIME. I used to love Jack in the Box, so to give them one last chance I went with my wife on my birthday (SEVEN MONTHS after my first edit) she was craving some tacos. We walk inside and it smelled pretty gross, we were already skeptical because of JITBs poor track record but we stayed vigilant, it could've just been someone's old sneakers. Get to the counter and we ordered 2 tacos and a spicy chicken. "Just so you know we're out of tacos, so we're charging people for two tacos and giving them a monster taco instead. We're also out of onion rings and milkshake mix." You're out of tacos on a Saturday lunch!? We walked out. It smelled like shet anyway. This company and management is an embarrassment, you can see horrible reviews all across the board at any Jack in the Box you look up.
SECOND EDIT: They were seriously just closed in the middle of the day. Wut? Zero stars. Seriously how can a fast food restaurant close whenever they want regardless of posted hours? I wonder if they even have management...
EDIT: This is now the WORST Jack in the Box. Waited forever to get through the drive through even though we ordered through the app. They were SO painfully slow even at handing us our order, then they spilled the drink on my wife's arm as it was handed to her because the lid wasn't on all the way. Couldn't wipe it off because they didn't give us napkins, so they had to get us some, then they had to get us a straw, then they had to get us our sauce (all separate trips) so it took even longer. I think I spent at least 20 minutes in this drive-thru. I got home and took a bite of my sandwich to find that the chicken is almost the size of a sauce packet (see attached picture). I could 100% LITERALLY eat this whole sandwich in one bite if I tried. Last time I go to this JITB. Please sell it to another franchisee so they can turn it around.
OLD: I go here all the time. It's not the best JITB but it's also definitely not the worst. It's kinda slow sometimes. The best one is off Telegraph in the Dierbergs plaza, the worst one is off...
Read moreWe have come to love Jack in the Box. We are relocating to the area and on every trip this is a must have. The burgers are juicy and above average for a fast food place. The kids love the chicken strips. The more eccentric offering for a burger joint; the tacos are killer especially on Tuesdays and Wednesday when they are only 50 cents and the egg rolls are as good if not better than any Chinese food restaurant. The egg rolls lack that greasy taste you usually fight through. They are much cleaner and full of flavor. Cannot go wrong with the food here. On this particular visit, we have to give a shout out to exceptional service by the young lady, I think Abby was the name I overheard, that was busting her behind to serve us at the counter and covering the drive-through while it was busy. She got us everything we needed and even managed a couple table touches while we were eating. Very impressed and 5 stars to her. The disappointment came in the wait time for the food and the management of the shift. We could hear the manager yelling at the young lady the entire time to go back and forth between the front counter and the drive-through. For a good 20 minutes she did this becoming visible at times for the direction she was giving. With a personal background in restaurant management, I was confused as to why the manager did not jump in and help. Very disappointing. I did finally see her help make some food at the end of our time there. You lose good help when you aren't willing to support them. On another note, the entrance had a black sidewalk and was slippery. There was an odor I did not recognize until we left. On past experience, it seems someone may have mopped the kitchen and dumped the greasy mop water out the door. This is a hazard and unappealing. Hope they get it together so we do not have to travel outside of Wentzville for...
Read moreThe worst Jack in the Box in history. 45 minute wait for 5 cars. Double charged me on my credit card for some other order, tried to refund me a cash equivalent because they could not figure out how to do a credit, no receipt (I asked), cold fries, terrible ice tea, wrong type of chicken sandwich. I would warn everyone that this location (franchisee operated) should be avoided. My mistake. I will NEVER do it again. Update (1/3/2021): I appreciate the response from Jack in the Box here, but it is total B.S. The District Manager emailed me with the excuse of "I have a new General Manager that started two weeks ago." I responded by saying that this location (see the past reviews) has had serious problems for at least 7 months if not longer and why they have not done anything before? I pointed this out and never heard back. I also filed a complaint through the corporate contact page on heyjackbox.com with my direct contact information. No one from corporate every contacted me. Like many other franchise businesses, the quality of the business is directly related to the quality of the franchisee and the local management team. I am sure the corporate franchise has numerous problems on their hands and it hard to police everyone UNLESS customers publically make note of the problems...
