I placed an online order and was told that my food would be ready at 9:37. I showed up a little early at 9:30 and was told my food wasn’t ready, which I was fine with. I waited and by 9:50 still did not have food even though other customers who are placed mobile orders or online orders or DoorDash orders, had already received their food and left before me, some had come in after I had arrived. Finally at 9:55 I was told that they did not have Banana bread which was part of my order. No big deal but they offered me rolls as a replacement. So I said sure. Then the lady comes back and tells me that it’s going to be eight additional minutes for rolls or I can have biscuits now. By this point, I’ve already waited over 20 minutes for my mobile order passed when I was told it would be ready. I said I will take biscuits. Magically my food appears in front of me. So I asked has my food been sitting back here waiting this entire time for biscuits? The lady with a very rude attitude, says sir I don’t make the food. I have no idea how long it’s been back there, I’m just delivering it. I said I understand that my frustration is I have been sitting here for 20 minutes past when you said it would be ready, and I am just now getting my food. Her reply was simply, sir. I don’t make the food. Have a nice day. Another person working behind the counter was very apologetic and I said believe me I’m not upset with you I’m mad at her attitude. Some serious retraining needs to be done with the employees that work behind the counter as well as in the kitchen. Because being told your food will be ready at one time and then having to wait 20 extra minutes is sort of ridiculous when you’re just trying to take your food to go. I understand things happen, normally, I’m not the type of person, and in fact, I have been to this restaurant multiple times for mobile orders that have taken extended periods of time. However, the lack of explanation behind how long my food has been sitting there, the total rudeness from the employee that I dealt with, and the fact that I had to wait additional 20 minutes after the time I was told my foot would be ready, that is what annoys me. I will not be coming back to...
Read moreI've eaten here many times in the past decade, it's generally been a pleasant experience. The food is predictable farm style breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings, and they do a great job preparing it. We went in with a large group last week and had an absolutely miserable customer service experience. We had a group of 11, 4 adults, 3 teens, and 4 children. Our waitress was an early to mid 20's young lady who seemed agitated from the moment we arrived. Once we were seated I had my arm on a chair back around one of my younger kiddos, she came by to pour coffee and very rudely bumped my shoulder and said "move your arm" in a rude an aggressive tone. She could have simply said excuse me or Can I get by or something of that nature. Me and the lady across the table who I was chatting with were both floored by this comment, both of our jaws fell open at how rude she came off. Keep in mind we hadn't been seated for more than 5 minutes so this was just the start of her miserable attitude. She acted rudely to the teens, and children as well, several little snippy comments throughout the meal, never came by to ask how we were enjoying our meals. I asked for hot sauce, and she snarled back "it's on the table" it wasn't, when I pointed out that it wasn't she sighed deeply, dropped her shoulders, grabbed a bottle off another table and practically slammed it down in front of me. She only once came by to check on drinks. As a standard rule I always tip 20% of my bill. I was so disgusted with her behavior I contemplated not leaving a tip at all, instead I left 5% not sure if she got the message that her service was horrible or if she just thought we were cheap, either way it's not in good conscious for me to leave nothing. I am rating this as a 3 star because I'm aware that this one waitresses actions do not reflect upon the entire staff. As I mentioned earlier I have had several pleasant experiences here before. This particular waitress deserves 0 stars, maybe she was having a bad day, but we as paying customers didn't deserve her wrath, she missed out on a pretty good opportunity for a good tip with her...
Read moreFirst of all …. I sure wish I’d of read the reviews PRIOR to coming here ! You USED TO BE GREAT ….. but now your reviews say a lot …..& seem to be primarily only 1🌟! My friend & I came in for breakfast with two 10 year old girls . Ordering our food went fine ( or so I thought ) The kids meals come with drink , main course, side and dessert. We only found out about the dessert AFTER OUR MEAL ….inquired about it for my granddaughter & was asked “ WHAT DOES SHE NEED ?” We can get her a side of that at no charge …. Huh ? Why the need to say NEED & the AT NO CHARGE?????? …. ( first of all ) … apologize for forgetting to mention that it COMES WITH the dessert … & then ask what would she “ Like” instead of trying to embarrass a 10 year old girl like that ! She( our waitress OLIVIA ) didn’t pre- bus our crowded dishes… or check to see if our food was cooked well .NOTE TO KITCHEN …. ( my sausage patties were burnt & ice cold rubber pucks )! I figured she might’ve been new , however a waiter assured me she worked there a long time ! Her “ EXCUSE “ for not asking the dessert order that is INCLUDED in the meal was .. I QUOTE “she waits to see if the parents ask for it because she “doesn’t wanna bring “ it up in case they don’t want their kid to have it “ MAKES NO SENSE! #1 it’s included #2 sorry …. It’s your job #3 please check in on your table AT LEAST ONCE PRIOR TO GIVING OUT THE CHECKS & pre- bus a table that has stacked all their plates instead of leaving it sit there ! Food was not served hot …. She was not keeping up with tables ….. but my biggest pet peeve the dessert thing should’ve been handled @ time of order taking & with discretion once she realized that she messed up … NOT waiting for PARENTS TO COME & GET HER AFTER THE BILL WAS GIVEN ! Olivia needs to follow a seasoned & trained waitress a while to learn how to do these simple things (& yes I used to both waitress & train waitress years ago ) Good Luck as Wentzville restaurants are growing and bad food and service will not get you return patrons or new ones either . You need trained and...
