Food here is consistently good, service can be hit and miss, but most of the time it's decent. When they get busy, food actually will be brought to you in a timely manner, but refills and bills you may have to flag someone down. If you get a hot app, it will probably come out with the meal. Very inconsistent when it comes to ingredients on their salads though, my wife will order the same salad on different days and will receive different toppings each time. Also, seems that management is very petty and passive-aggresive in the signs they put up. The front door has a super "welcoming" sign already complaining about people. Inside are a bunch of signs telling you it's not a fast food establishment and you have to wait. It's understood that everyone is short-staffed, but they seem to really have a victim mentality. They could pay employees a living wage and then may not have that problem, or just deal with complainers as they come in, but I guess they thought complaining about it would be cute? Not a great way to welcome people to an establishment.

Rookies experience is much better since they do not allow smoking inside their restaurant anymore. The waitress was wonderful and kept returning to the table to see if we needed anything. The place has nice sporty decor. The ladies bathroom is very curb appealing with a view of eye candy and a cozy candle burning. I love the bathroom doors with the large painted symbols on them identifying men from women. Those bathroom doors you have to give credit to the fabulous bartender. My buffalo wrap was great. My mash potatoes was missing the white gravy and needed a bit more salt plus pepper but still good. All in all in was a great experience.

This place is a local institution, my friends go all the time. It's where the locals go to have delicious affordable scratch made food and drinks without a loud atmosphere. Sports are always on the TVs. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich since it was highly recommended. It was huge and tasty (pic) I go back every chance I get. Their "Frank's style" wings are delicious, too. If you're driving through, stop here. It's not a fast food restaurant so fortunately you'll have to have a couple beers while you relax.

This has been a favorite of mine for years and years and years but recently the past two times we've eaten here the food has really been terrible and the service I understand right now it's hard to get the help that is needed to be efficient and a timely manner but I would rather wait longer for the food to be good and right and the check to be right I have no problem waiting especially when the shortage in the world of workers is existing but if you have new cooks new wait staff at least if they're slow they are learning as long as what they produce is quality the buffalo chicken nachos were burnt and dry and Soggy on the other side we had an appetizer and my husband got the three wood or nine iron something roast beef and it was rubbery and dry usually these are two of our favorite things my side house salad was the best thing I ate and even then I asked for no tomatoes and it came with tomatoes I just picked them off and then when the the bill came I handed her our card and when she brought it back the check was three times as much as the two of us had so then we waited for her to correct it still tipped her well as I'm guessing she was learning and it was very understaffed. This being said it has been one of our favorite places for a quick bite or ball game so we will try again because when this place is on top of its game it...

My boyfriend and I came in for dinner after he came home from work. We walked into the Wentzville rookies and waited to be seated. The bar was full!!!!!! 2 grown adults were sat at a 2 top table behind a table with adults and multiple children running around making a fuss like kids do! Bless there hearts. We went back to the hostess and told her we wanted to move to the bar to get away from the noise. Then it got BAD!!!!

Bartender Yell'd "What do you want" she didn't ask what we wanted, she looked at us like we were bothering her. She finally came over and got our drink order and left menus. Came back with drinks and we waited.............. and a waited.........................she's staring at her phone ignoring us on purpose. We were tired of her games, paid for the drinks and ate a different place. That was Rookies 3 strike for us Sometimes a bartender, server, busser, or anybody who works at a restraunt needs to know that it only takes 1 person in the life of the business to kill it. Everyone needs to work together to make the customer happy and want to come back. Sorry for all the spelling messups not good with grammer. But I do know cooking , been in the businesses...
