I visited your restaurant on 4/15/2022 with my family of 7, we were seated and attended by a waitress and our drinks were taken. Some alcoholic and some not. My aunt ordered her son who is 19 a beer which (In Texas, a minor may possess an alcoholic beverage if the minor is in the visible presence of his adult parent, guardian, or spouse. Tex. Alco. Bev. Code Ann. § 106.0) supports and I recognize now that this does not have to be followed by your organization, which is absolutely fine with me. The problem starts when your waitress comes to us and explains that policy and removed the beverage, doesn't offer to bring anything as a substitute, after that we get ghosted, entirely. Not sure why or what buy we just got ignored the rest of the time. Problem number two, I finish my beer, our food war brough by someone else and I am waiting for our waitress to come back for a drink refill, but NOPE nothing. After I finished my entire meal (that's how much time went by), I got up to go ask the waitress who never came back to attend us after she took the beer away. Upon asking kindly if I could please have a beer I was told that our table was no longer able to get any more alcohol, again I kindly said I was not aware of that because that had nothing to do with me particularly, I was told it was policy, again that is fine with me. I asked why that wasn't told to us and why they wouldn't have brought us at least a water or asked if we wanted anything as a substitute, no one could answer a simple question. I was told I should have known your policies (that I have never see posted if they are on alcohol). Your manager got involved, nice guy, he took over and got everything handled. I have to say that this was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my life and sadly my family was with me and had to see this happen along with our kids asking why we were being ignored....
Read moreHad a party of 13. I had my companion buy gift cards to use to purchase the food for expense reporting. After the gift cards were bought and activated, Buddy (heavier set, slicked back oily black hair, small goatee), let my companion know they wouldn't be usable for four hours. I didn't want to make a big deal so we ate and then when it came time to pay I explained the issue to my server, told her I can wait the four hours if needed, worst case scenario. She brought a female manager, and I explained the issue to her, told her the same. She went and grabbed Buddy, he came over ready to argue. Noticeably upset, I guess he assumed I was looking to argue, but I was just looking for a solution. I explained to him the same. He cut me off with "No, I told him before I finished charging him. He could have told me to cancel it out." Attempting to be confrontational and defend himself. I told him, "Look I am not trying to argue, I just want to know what we can do. I'll wait the four hours of I need to." He then offered to refund the cards, and I said that would be great. He said with a snotty tone, I'll need those 10 dollar cards back also, I didn't care about them and happily turned them over. He returned with a reciept, implying it was time for me to go, I guess. Told me the money would be refunded to my card, but we used cash, I reminded him that. He returned with the cash. I spent 309 dollars and a 60 dollar tip for my amazing waitress. Buddy just killed the mood with his combative demeanor. Next time I wanna treat my team, I'll go elsewhere just because of him. The food was nothing special. My waitress was awesome. We had a decent time, but again, he ruined all that. Doesn't take much to be friendly, and not every guest is looking to argue when an issue arises. We just want a solution. That's his job...
Read moreCame back to this location because my food is always hot, not cold. And i recommend this location even if i have to drive a bit more than half an hour. We have one but always cold food. This is in Brownsville, always issues. Whatever it is you, Weslaco, are doing right. Spread the word around to your sister stores. To begin your staff is always alert and attentive to their tables. So thank you, came and tried your ribs they were a but dry, but my plate was well served. I may not order that again, maybe a different dish.
I was pretty impressed with this Chilies location, not like other chilies. The waiter was great we got waited on very nice. I enjoyed it because it was not over rated nor packed quietly enough that you could talk at a normal level. The food I was impressed my friend ordered a Guiltless Platter medium rare sirloin w/Asparagus, and I ordered the Trio chicken crispers, egg rolls, and boneless wings There was an issue with the boneless wings they were cold but told my waiter and management came and replaced them with a fresh new hot batch, which was awesome. The cold ones I left behind. Overall, my appetizer plate was delish. And so was my friends Sirloin steak. Thank you, Chilies. I will be coming to this one even if I have to drive 40 minutes. Because the one we have at my town in brownsville is very sloppy and very forgetful staff. Sometimes it's so loud I can't hear whoever is with me. But your facility is great, and I will be visiting...
