Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Weslaco

This 1 star is not for the food , employees or dining area. Yes it is small compared to McAllen. But everything is still good food and good service. The 1 star is for the mens restroom it stinks like sewer and i mean to a dangerous level . 1 employee say it also stink like that in the back where the kitchen is at. It stinks so bad u cant even breath in there. Im very serious . This dangerous for employees and people alike. They need to take care of this fast. 2025 edit: Sewer smell is gone. But food preparation is at all time low. They never follow instructions that r posted on jasons app. Manager says the app is faulty on there end. Jasons call ur webmaster and fix it . If that's the case. I love to order the build ur own salad and have most of toppings packed in on side in the lil plastic cups they use like for the salad dressing. If they packed all in the salad all on top of the 🥗. It will brown out the 🥗 leaf if not eaten the same day. Usually the salad will last me 3 days. But not when u put the cottage cheese or anything moist that will make the salad soggy it won't last. I hate to waste food like that. Another take on preparation is presentation. Is it worth ur money? Does it look appetizing? I ordered a chicken mesa 🥗 and it look bad. Welp.. I love Jason's....

I love coming here due to it being a healthy choice , however my fruit was spoiled and when I addressed it ,the manager seemed very bothered . I remained calm trying to explain the situation but kept getting a negative response with attitude. This seemed very unprofessional , specially coming from someone in charge . I was not considered when it came to customer service. I didn’t feel as if I were a paying customer, but rather a nuisance. I received a credit order after a prolonged debate; And upon arrival I was treated as a nuisance once again. I hope this changes. I like Jason’s deli but will change my options of food choice because this behavior.It makes difficult to trust someone acting in this manner specially when they are handling your food. No one wants to feel this way when you’re trying to put healthy options...

I was in the mood for a salad bar and WOW! this place delivered in style :-) Tons is selections presented for ease of gathering onto your plate. You don’t have to lean over 6 items to get to the one in the back. Nothing is more than 2 rows. Clean & well stocked at all times thanks to the awesome young lady that tended to the salad bar. Even the bus boy did an impressive job keeping tables clean & was polite and pleasant with customers. The cashier could use a lesson on looking at the customer while smiling and saying thank you. Loved the big windows, high ceilings & great lighting. Lots of soup & dessert selections but I filled up on salad :-). Oh yeah, and there are FIVE tea selections and ice cream.
