Aris Sports Bar — Restaurant in West Allis

Not impressed. Came here hoping to watch Game 1 of the NHL Western Conference Finals. There were 3 people in there with about 10 TVs showing Brewers vs. Cubs game. When I asked if I could see the hockey game I was told by the bartender that he wasn't sure how to change the channels on the TVs, so I ordered a beer and some food and decided to go sit on the patio and watch it on my phone since apparently the TV on the patio wasn't working either. I ordered hot wings and fries. The wings were way to big for my liking and not hot at all as I ordered them. The cheese fries (just wanted regular fries but bartender didn't know how not to enter cheese on the fries) were good. After I was done eating I ordered another beer and saw the bartender use my same glass that had all my hot wing smudge all over it after serving my first beer in a clean frosted glass. We've enjoyed the food in the past and appreciated the quality of service from the staff multiple times.

This being 2020 we have also appreciated that they had signage about masks being required, and staff generally wore them. Not only is that good from a public health perspective it also sends a good message that they are serious about their customers health and safety.

We were thus surprised and disappointed that on our last stop mask use was almost nonexistent by staff.

We were on a path to add this place to our 'regular rotation' as a result of the prior good visits.

Great food! I got the combo platter with smoked turkey and beef brisket and a side of coleslaw and fries. Everything tasted amazing and it was far too much to eat all at once. The fries were nice and crispy and the slaw was sweet yet tangy with a kick of spice. At just over $20 and with plenty of leftovers this was an amazing deal.
