Sandbaggers Restaurant — Restaurant in West Branch Township

Great place to go if you haven't already. I have been searching for a place to get great fish in West Branch for a while and this place is it. I'll have to make it there for an all you can eat fish Friday.

I happened to be here for a work gathering and we had approximately 40 people. Not a beat was skipped by the amazing wait staff. Drinks were always filled and they were all super friendly.

Between out 4 tables, we had appetizers real quick and they were delectable with my favorite being a tie between the brussel sprouts and the loaded tots.

Just as we all finished our apps, our hot food was delivered that looked and tasted as if it was the only meal prepared and not along with 20 other meals at the same time. We all ordered different items so as someone who worked 4 years in a kitchen, I can imagine the difficulty in preparing that many different types of meals and it still be great food.

The new owner was also in attendance and was very friendly and a great personality to have around.

Highly recommend this place! We just celebrated my husband's 50 birthday there with a party of 30 people and I can't say enough good things about the restaurant. Tom and Jess were very accommodating, ready with suggestions, and just super nice to interact with. The wait staff was super nice as well. The food was delicious. We had two dishes: chicken ravioli and roast beef with sides of salad, bread sticks, baked potatoes, and veggies. Price was reasonable. The restaurant does not have a private room, but they used dividers and those worked just fine. We were able to bring decorations and our own cake. Our party was on Saturday evening, which also happened to be Sweetest Day, and the restaurant was busy. However, we felt like we were the only customers there. My friends and I stopped by here just before dinner time on a Sunday without reservations and were seated immediately. I had seen good reviews about this establishment and they did not disappoint.

We enjoyed 2 appetizers of “sandbaggers tots” which were more then enough for 8 people to share. Everyone enjoyed their entrees from BBQ chicken flatbread to a massive prime rib dip. Excellent price points for everything we had.
