Wings and Rings — Restaurant in West Chester Township

This is a review of the wings. I should note from the start that I have a high tolerance for spicy food. I ordered 10 wings traditional, peach habanero sauce, "atomic" heat level. They were meaty. 10 will definitely fill you up. The skin could have been crisper, but I wouldn't say it was soggy.

Now, regarding the sauce, first of all, they were too wet. From the presentation and the taste, it didn't appear to me that the wings were cooked in the sauce, or that the sauce had some time on the grill to caramelize or really soak into the wings. Instead the sauce was just poured over the wings once they were done. This means that some wings have more sauce on them then others, and the ones on the bottom were drenched in it. I went through 6 napkins/paper towels.

As for the heat, they were far from "atomic" or even "extra hot." I would call these "hot" at best. At no time did I feel like I needed to rush for the milk or anything. My lips weren't burning. My nose barely even ran at all. So, "atomic" to me was kinda laughable.

But, the peach habanero flavor was nice. Spicy with a hint of fruitiness. They definitely tasted good enough that I wanted to eat all 10, even though the wings weren't all evenly coated.

The experience overall was pleasant enough, so I think BW&R is deserving of a solid 4...

Walked in told to pick table sit down. The side we were asked to sit on 6 dirty tables ( never cleaned entire time there). Restaurant was not even half occupied. 2-3 people behind front counter most the time (sitting on floor, on their phones). Floors filthy. Waited, waited for server. Ordered beer and water. Waited, waited, waited. Took ordered wings and salad. More of the same……. Waiting! When food finally came salad had hair in it! Not eaten. Had to ask for silverware. Fast forward……..Ask for check. More of the same. You guessed it, more waiting! Finally went to front counter to ask for check. Two people still sitting on floor on phones. When my husband said something, young lady said she wasn’t on the clock. When my husband said something to the young man with dark curly hair in shorts about the bad first impression he was making, especially with all the dirty tables, the young man proceeded to FLIP HIM THE BIRD and tell him it was not his job!!!! Fair to say we won’t be back!! Wings and Rings CINTI-DAYTON RD minutes away! We’ve always supported local restaurants. Restaurant business is tough, but WOW, this experience totally mind blowing! Don’t know where the 4 stars...

We didn't eat inside. We ordered online and picked it up at the restaurant.

I went inside to use the restroom and wait for them to finish as we got there earlier than the pickup time given. As I walked to the back to use the restroom, I noticed that many of the people eating inside were wearing their coats, which made me take note of the temp inside. It was a little chilly. Not hat and gloves cold, but comfortably chilly enough to wear a jacket/light coat. I also noticed the little kids' stool under the sink in the ladies' restroom. You dont usually see restaurants catering to kids that way, so that made me smile.

When I went to the front to sit, one of the employees working the back asked me what my name was. I gave it to him and told him that I didn't think our order was ready yet. He walked away and quickly came back with our food nicely packed for our ride home.

Once we got home and unpacked the food, we were aware that our food was still hot, which we were happy about. The food was good too! I hadn't ordered pickup from here before, but they've now been added to...
