Imagine meeting a friend of your best friend, after making up from a big argument. Your bestie confided in this friend and is the only thing they know about you. So when you meet, they have already drawn some very negative opinions about you. You find this friend of your bestie to be pfft or smug towards you. They dont do anything bad towards you but you can feel the animosity they feel for you. Thier tone of voice, thier body language and their over all demeanor clearly says they cant wait for you to leave. THIS... is how I felt visiting this resteraunt. As if, they've already drawn some very negative opinions about us and didnt want anything to do with us. My first time tasting Korean food and though my friend's meal wasnt quite what my palette was used to... the meal I ordered tasted great. The service (outside of what I previously discribed) was prompt for the amount of food we ordered but we still had to wait nearly half way through the dinner before recieving every dish. The resteraunt only had one other guest yet everyone at the table was out of drink before we saw the waitress again for refills. The price $30+ was high for the individual meal (Chicken Bulgogi) that I ordered but as I mentioned... it was my first Korean experience. So I dont have a referance for average cost of Korean meals. I would like to try Korean cuisine again sometime... Just Not Here

I had never been to this restaurant before today. We don't find ourselves driving down this road often, and since it's not visible from the main road, I really didn't even know it was here till my friends mentioned it. I met up with some of my friends here for a yummy lunch. They've both been here many years ago, but a first for me! We were seated right away when we walked in. The atmosphere was welcoming with high ceilings, warm lighting, and plenty of booth seating. They serve Coke products here, which is always a big plus for me😅, so I ordered a Diet Coke while I waited for my friends to arrive. I looked at the menu for a long time before finally settling on Yuk Gae Jang, I'm admittedly not very familiar with Korean cuisine so I wasn't quite sure what I was ordering but had heard the food was the best Korean in the area so I didn't worry too much as it would be good. And it was very good! The food was served in a blazing hot stone bowl, and the food was piping hot as well! It was difficult to eat at first, but as it cooled down, it got better and better! Tried as I might, I could not finish all the food in front of me. The meal was a great value, and I got to take home some excellent leftovers to share with my husband. I can't wait to return and try something else (if I don't just order the same thing again😅).

Wife and i walk in hostess/ waitress is on phine, texting or twitter or something. Says just sit anywhere. Not a hard decision, place is empty lol. There are 3 tables that are dirty and need to be bussed. First impression....walk away. We decide to give it a try. Shoulda walked. Menu shows beer. Asked what they had, no beer. Asked about the clams in JAUM PONG SUJEBI, whether it was clam strips ( not a dang clam ) or whole clam. Clearly states this has clams. Waitress says no clam, one oyster...huh? Excuse me? I got the BEEF BULGOGI Thinly sliced rib-eye steak marinated in fruit BBQ sauce cooked with onion and scallion and served on hot stone plate. Only one reason to marinate beef with fruit. Citric acid breaks down the beef and makes it tender. Should have clued me in, but i was still reeling from no clams, one oyster. Rib eye is the most tender meat on a beef cow. So am thinking it was possibly a much cheaper meat. Had good flavor for a cpl bites. Then the lemon and lime over powered the beef and palate. The rice that came with it had to be mixed with beef to soak up the juice just to be edible. Was so sticky it wouldnt have moved if thrown at a wall.

Wife got DOLSOT BIBIMBAP. She said it wasnt very good, but she was hungry. She managed to choke down half of the bowl.

Waitress was very nice. She wasnt pushy or non existent. Great quick service.

Still would not come back, nor recommend anyone trying...

Unfortunately, the worst korean food that I have ever had. Had dinner with my wife and two children. We had the Tteokbokki, Kimchi Korean Pancake, Gimbap, Korean Style Chicken Wings, and Pork Bulgogi. The Tteokbokki was outright disgusting, the sauce smelled and tasted rancid and the texture of the rice cake was similar to an old mozzarella stick. It tasted like it came out of a bag that was removed from the freezer and sat for way too long. The Korean pancake wasnt horrible, but it definitely came out of a package and was reheated. The Gimbap was sliced and each piece looked like it sat out all day with dried rice, wilted veggies, and dried up imitation crab. Korean Style Wings were horrible. They were over cooked, had way too much breading. Tasted like they were frozen before they were dumped in a fryer. Middle of the wings were still raw and the sauce was not good and very off putting. I love some tasty gochujang sauce and this was not close. And the Pork Bulgogi. Not spicy, had the consistency of boiled meat, and tasted exactly like the same sauce used on the wings. It looks like a traditional korean convenience store when you go in, and I think they served us old food that was prepackaged and previously frozen. I dont think one item we had was fresh. We came here based on the good reviews and were sorely disappointed. If you are deciding on this place or anywhere else, go...
