I visited on 10/15 after showing up to go to Once Upon a Child and saw that they were open. I saw lots of people going in so I thought I would give it a try because I love peach cobbler. When I walked in the decor was pretty and plenty of people were waiting at tables or standing up. I placed my order for 1 peach cobbler at 2:42pm and was told it would be 15-20 minutes. That shocked me because why does it take so long to get a scoop of cobbler. Well I ended up seeing my aunt at one of the tables and waited with her. I saw who I assume was the owner bring one order out at a time and she was the only one bringing orders out. She explained that the truck had came and things were cooking which caused the delay. My aunt had 2 junior banana puddings, one regular and one red velvet. Regular was basic with no bananas but I was shocked by the red velvet. It was basically a regular pudding with a few red velvet cakes crumbles inside. I received my cobbler and it was nothing to brag about as I was expecting the "Best" as it says on the window. It was just okay. I was really expecting different. I wanted to see the different cobblers and puddings in cases to be served. The serving sizes are too expensive for the size you get. But for a Saturday afternoon I thought it was ridiculous to only do one order at a time. I wanted to love it but I'm afraid I will not be returning unless things change. Decor was gorgeous but I think customers want to walk in and see what they are getting. And how long does it take to scoop cobbler or pudding...

I would ask customers if the want the ice cream to go if they want it soft or frozen solid for travel. PREVIOUS: I drove 30 minutes to try this place. The staff was very kind, but they ran out of anything related to apples, which cuts your choices significantly. I bought a dessert sampler/flight to go with the side of ice cream, which, of course, is a must with a cobbler. I had a small sample of each cobbler before adding some ice cream. The cobbler was delicious. I then popped the lid to the ice cream and found it to be a solid, super-frozen brick that was so hard it broke both sporks in the bag. This made everything difficult. I put the warm cobbler on the ice cream, and even that only melted the small layer of ice cream that came directly in contact with the cobbler. When I got home, the ice cream was still as hard as a brick. I decided to use it as a door stop, and I'm confident it will still be hard as a rock a week from now. It's called ice CREAM, not ice BRICK. The word cream is actually in the name. If you go, you may want to ask them to microwave the ice...
Read moreMy mother & I visited the Peach Cobbler Factory in West Chester for the first time today (our first time at this location & the chain in general). It’s absolutely wonderful!
This location literally smells delicious as soon as one enters. The store is very, very clean & we were warmly greeted by whom we later learned was the owner’s mother. We ordered two sample trays with 4 items each along with 2 orders of vanilla ice cream. EVERYTHING was wow-wow-wowzers good—no embellishment I promise! The cobblers, puddings, and ice cream all tasted freshly homemade. The cobblers were tasty without being overly sweet—a problem with a lot of store bought cobblers I’ve found. The red velvet pudding and blackberry cobbler were my favorites but as I said everything was terrific.
This business has the advantages that often come with a franchise such as the very professional look and feel of the store itself but with the owner & her mother working directly at the location it also has that mom-&-pop warmth & attention to detail you only get at a family based business.
I’d highly recommend that everyone stop by for the great food and service the Peach Cobbler Factory in West Chester...
