This place is a gimmick. I should’ve known how he food was going to be in general when I saw no black people working in a “Jamaican” restaurant. That was just the first red flag, the second was they had no lamb, only had ox tail at a certain time, and had no side other rice and rice and beans and cabbage. On top of that the chicken was doo doo, maybe suburban folk don’t much about spices because the only thing put on my chicken was literally curry and that’s it and put it in the smallest pocket in the platter. Same thing for the cabbage, sweet and unseasoned. Then gave me more rice than my actually meal. To call this place a Jamaican restaurant should flat out be a crime all together. Then charging you actual platter prices while they give you scraps. Then overcook and burn plantains. Me actually knowing what a real looks and tastes like makes you feel robbed and disappointed that folks are even comfortable being open. The most suburban Jamaican restaurant I will never be going to again. A real Jamaican chef needs to call this in as a crime because that’s just absolutely sad that people in the reviews really think that’s considered real...

Restaurant: 5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Parking: Free limited parking
We've been wanting to come here for awhile, but have not been able to due to the location and the hours. We were finally able to stop in after a movie and ordered few items for takeout. There's also indoor dining available, but the seats are limited.
The restaurant itself feels very unique, comfortable and there's definitely a hint of history showing.
What we ordered: -Beef Patty (Delicious, very fresh and flavorful) -Vegetable Patty (Delicious, very fresh and flavorful. The taste reminds me very much of a Grandma's home cooked Chicken potpie) -Jerk Chicken platter (Very good and delicious. With the exception of cabbage, it had no flavor, could use some salt and pepper at least) -Curry Chicken platter (Very good and delicious, same issue with the cabbage)
Keep in mind the patty's can take up to 30 minutes to make and cook, I didn't mind it they are well worth the wait. a MUST HAVE. Both of the platters comes with Rice or Rice and beans.
We will...
Read moreI've been trying to get food here for awhile since it's the only Jamaican spot in West Chester, or the closest one to me, I work late shift so getting it on my lunch they will be closed, first off if your doing take out finding parking is kinda hectic (parking across the street 'street parking') restaurant is on a busy 1 way street.
Now the food, I order the jerk pork platter, it had the right amount of spice, I think you could ask for more spicy but I just got it how it came, came with a lot of rice a good amount of pork and steam cabbage. It was really good, I will be coming back for more.
Also order the beef party, now I've had alot of these store bought(Walmart) frozen and microwave, this had more spice to it but I notice the filling is all the same just a mushy brown filling, still I liked it.
Definitely coming back to try out...
