Birrieria La Tapatia De Ocotlan — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

This was my second visit. I love love love the Birria here they only have a few items. Goat Birria beef, Birria, quesabirria tacos are the main stays. Like all good Birria joints do, once your consommé runs low in your bowl, they’ll come around with a hot picture, full of consommé and top you off. The Birria comes with some hot sauce and onions and cilantro if you would like and tortillas. I recommend the goat, although I am sure that the beef is delicious as well, I was there with three friends. None of whom had been there before. They asked if it was our first time. I replied that it was for those three and they said OK you need to try our quesaBirria tacos and brought us a couple of them cut up so everybody could try them, on the house. How lovely was that? As far as the atmosphere, it really reminds me of eating at a restaurant in Mexico. And I don’t mean in the tourist areas of Mexico. I mean this in the best way. Our server was absolutely the best. She was super friendly, but didn’t speak a lot of English, so I had to translate for my friends. But that just added to the experience in a very positive way. In my opinion I thought the prices were very fair. In fact, I would say it’s among the better value of all the Birria places around Chicago and the Pilsen neighborhood in particular. 10 out of 10 will probably come back every time I’m in Chicago. Great place to go eat I didn't even know it was there if it wasn't for my friend but we went there it was our first time there the lady I forgot her name but she was great she attend to us like if we were her family she called us the kings of the of the restaurant for that second that's how she treated us like kings she was great smile joke around with us talk to us made sure we were liking what we were eating if not what could you do to help if if we didn't but we did I enjoyed it very well I'll be there again at least for now I think this is my favorite spot for birria... Keep up the good work also without saying the least a gentleman that is the owner I guess her husband or partner friend it was very gracious make sure also if we were okay if everything was great when I told him yes I asked him he told me that he was the owner I need to save out of this bag whoever goes to this place will have a great time it's a small place but a family-oriented you take family it's great assembly great please go and I'm not getting paid for this but honestly just go you'll enjoy it thank you again for the great food to both of you......

Foods ok the place on 26 and hamiln is was better. But service here is not good I came at 815am qith only2 customers. 4 employees we were not being served because they were busy making coffee and cleaning honestly every business is customers 1st then everything else make $ 1st then clean or have the place set up before you open.
