Read moreThis is a really nice place to dine. It's one of the better resturaunts in downtown Waukegan IMO. To start off, getting to our table was a hassle. We had a reservation at 4 o'clock but we still ended up waiting 45 mins to get to our table. Might as well show up without reservation if they're not going to uphold it. Although, I'll give them a pass because we went during busy Mother's Day(dinner time), so it might've been more traffic than they were expecting. When we got to sit down, our server was very nice to us and attended to our requests well. I'm amazed how she was able to memorize our order without writing anything down(and we were a party of 8!). Food was delicious. Tasted authentic. You know how some restaurants "gentrify" their menu? You won't find that here. The sweet part is that they make all their tortillas handmade, which taste delicious. None of those stale tortillas that come in packets. 10/10 food in my book. The drinks were nice, they all came in a glass dome cup (imagine red wine glass but with a bigger dome). Alcoholic drinks were mixed well. Overall, this place is a really nice fit for...
Read moreCame here and ordered chicken and shrimp fajitas. The chicken was incredibly dry and the shrimp was decent. My brother ordered the burrito and the meat was disturbingly squishy. He gave me a bite and I immediately grabbed a napkin and spit the food out. I felt like I was chewing on a burrito solely composed of beans because the meat was that squishy. My aunt ordered the shrimp salad and beckoned a waitress over because our waitress did not give her any salad dressing. The waitress said she would return and never did. My mother ordered la agua de Jamaica and she said it was too sweet. She also ordered the chiles en haogada and complained that they were incredibly sweet as well. The bill almost reached $100 and the quality of food didn’t even reach 3/5 stars. I would give this a one because the tostitos and the salsa were not that bad :) I would have much rather preferred a dominos pizza or even the tacos other restaurants sell in the...
