Bowls of Rice — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I ordered on DoorDash yesterday for the first time and had to get it again today. It was a hit both times. Definitely one of my new favorite go-to for lunch now! And they’re so friendly and just by the little notes they include w my food the customer service in person must be as exceptional as their food.

The first time I ordered the steak bowl and the potstickers definitely super delicious and generous portions reasonably priced !

And then today, I got the steak bowl again, but this time I got it with the Bulgogi sauce on the side, still very good and the crispy swai fish with the garlic aïoli sauce on the side and tried their butter rice for the first time definitely worth it as well! What’s rare to me with this restaurant is that I don’t see a lot of Asian restaurants or restaurants in general that fry their fish in this cooking style. It’s always too heavily breaded everywhere else. I believe this was panko crusted not sure but it’s the only place I know of now that I can get fish fried this way that I know of now. It’s like how chicken Katsu is except nobody really offers this with fish.

Then they added a little bonus (cinnamon sugar bao-nut ) cause I had to call them to ask them for my sauce on the side and I let them know. I loved their food. I ate it yesterday and I’m ordering it again lol That donut or bao-nut was so good and it was still warm and so soft now I have to order that next time 😩😩 too

Saw this place on UberEats today and decided to try it out - when my order arrived, the very first thing I pulled out of the bag was this lovely handwritten note. What a great first impression! There's no way they could have possibly known this, but Baymax is one of my favorite characters...ever? It really boosted my mood and I genuinely want to thank whoever wrote that note and drew that tiny Baymax because it made my day :`)

For my food, I got a small crispy orange chicken, crab rangoon, and bao nuts. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the portion size was perfect to leave me satisfied. I don't know exactly how to explain it, but this meal was genuinely comforting to eat. The note added such a cozy, homey vibe - it made the whole meal felt like a warm hug from a friend. My very first time ordering from Bowls of Rice, and I’m so glad I did. I got the grilled salmon bowl with garlic butter fried rice and aioli sauce—and let me tell you, that bowl was delectable. Flavorful, well-balanced, and satisfying from the first bite to the last.

What made it even better was the cute little note that came with my order—a thoughtful, feel-good touch that instantly set the tone.
