Very enjoyable Immersive Theater show. I've seen a majority of all the Third Rail shows(even the one where they performed a show w High Schoolers in Chicago!) multiple times and we conside ourselves big fans of the collective and the art form in general. With that said, Southerm Gothic really doesn't reinvent the Immersive Theater wheel, but its fun for sure. I thought the actors were riveting and thats one of the big differences netween this show and others. Other Immersive Theater shows seems to focus much less on narrative and dialogue and more on themes and interpretive dance to convey the themes. Here its a full on play with plot and lota of dialogue and you just happen to be a fly on the wall. The coolest feature here is that you can snack on what the actors snack on and occasionally you are fed small alcoholic drinks. My gripe is that the snacks are kinda cheap(popcorn or twinikies) and think this is a missed opportunity for the the show to have something higher quality. They have a bar that you can frequently visit throughout the show. The bartender was very nice, but I found that the bar was out if alot of mixes and so forth, causing me to order a different drink each time which I'm not a fan of. Regardless of theast 2 minor criticisms we're here for the craft. And,for my money, the craft...

As an immersive play, you will behave like a fly on the wall. Part of the fun is deciding which wall to perch on. The "stage" starts out with just a few actors, and you might start picking favorites. But as more characters appear and you watch them interact, you realize their lives are more complicated than they initially seem. Being so close to the actors brings a realism to their situations and emotions. Just follow your heart when you decide who or where to watch the events of the play unfold. You will feel FOMO as things start happening in the rooms you don't choose, but that's also just part of the fun.
Final note: Unlike some other immersive experiences, there's no interaction with the actors and actresses, so please please please don't try. Just bask in the...
