Taco Pros Damen — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

So, I went there today after i called an order in. I was in a rush so I made sure to call the order in atleast 30 minutes before I got there. The order wasn't ready. No biggie but I did have to leave because I was actually in a rush. They tried to convince to me stay but I told them I had to go, don't make the food, and I need a refund. They proceed to walk away from me, laugh, & talk to other co-workers while I keep asking for a refund. I don't know exactly what they were saying (I dont speak spanish). 10 minutes go by after my 1st request of many just to get a refund. I call the cops. They bring out my food & then proceed to suggest I leave. At this point I don't care about the food I literally just want the refund i asked for calmly for (atleast 20 times) for about 15mins. The cops show up then they finally give me a refund. The cashier was Sherry J and the night crew. Long story short don't go there if for any reason you want a refund. they will play games with you & hold you hostage.

Edit /My response to the owner (06/03/25): hopefully everyone can see through this corporate b.s. this guy typed up. He offered no real solution (& had a month to think about it). It's all for show folks. I tried emailing & calling there "corporate". Guess what the number goes to no where & they won't reply to your email. I discovered this place two weeks ago and I think I’ve already been there 8 times at least. Lol. For price and quality, this is as good as it gets.

At some point in recent history, every place in my neighborhood thought I’d be a good idea to change 6 bucks for a taco. I blame it on the trendy joints like Big Star, Antique Taco, Takito, etc. None of which are traditional. Like why are you putting radish on my taco? And for whatever reason traditional places around here followed suit. For this reason, I typically travel to Pilsen to get my fix. But then came my saving grace, Taco Pros!

For the record, it takes more than a reasonable price to patronize me. Their food is excellent and consistent . The meat is quality. Always comes out hot. Good cuts. I love the way they lightly fry the tortilla. Large portions. The last time I was there I ordered a nacho and I was only able to finish half of it. They bring you chips and salsa which are also delicious.

I honestly have a hard time believing a place like this exists in my area. With the price of everything skyrocketing everywhere, this place feels like I walked into...

Another great lunch at Taco Pro this afternoon. Ordered 3 tacos again with the rice and beans. 1 taco with steak, 1 with marinated pork and 1 with the house specialty. And had a can of Coke. Great value and a great meal.

First time visiting Taco Pros on Chicago and Damen. Have to say I was quite surprised. The meal was Excellent. Ordered the 3 taco plate with rice and beans. And chips and salsa with a Mandarin Jarritos. I ordered 2 tacos with marinated pork and 1 with steak. As you can see in the photo, you get your moneys worth.
