Subject: Complaint and Request for Immediate Action
Dear Owner of Dimo's Pizza Wicker Park,
I am writing to bring to your attention a highly disturbing incident that occurred during my recent visit to your establishment. I am extremely disappointed and deeply disturbed by the behavior of one of your staff members which not only invaded my personal space but also made me feel extremely uncomfortable and violated.
On Friday, at approximately 4pm, I visited Dimo's Pizza Wicker Park with the intention of enjoying a meal at my favorite spot. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the inappropriate and unprofessional conduct of one of your employees, particularly a black male staff member with a nose ring.
While I was in the midst of eating my meal, this staff member repeatedly invaded my personal space, disregarding my requests for him to stop. He approached me uncomfortably close to my private parts, which is completely unacceptable and goes against any norms of personal boundaries. Additionally, he persisted in attempting to reach and interact with my service animals, further exacerbating the situation.
Despite my repeated requests for him to leave me alone until I finished my meal and assured him that I would take care of any necessary cleanup, this staff member continued to approach me. He even went as far as going under the table in an apparent attempt to get close to me, which was completely inappropriate and made me feel violated.
To make matters worse, when I expressed my discomfort and asked him to stop, he not only ignored my plea but also attempted to take my paid-for service slice away from me. This level of misconduct and disregard for a customer's well-being is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on Dimo's Pizza Wicker Park as a whole.
I was shocked and disheartened by the lack of intervention from your other staff members, particularly a young lady who attempted to justify the staff member's actions and continued to invade my personal space. The overall disregard for customer comfort and safety in this situation was truly distressing.
I demand immediate action to address this incident effectively. It is my sincere hope that you will take this matter seriously and terminate the employment of the staff member responsible for this reprehensible behavior. No customer should ever have to endure such discomfort and violation while trying to enjoy a meal at your establishment.
Furthermore, I am seeking compensation for the invading and very uncomfortable experience I endured during my visit to Dimo's Pizza Wicker Park. I firmly believe that it is your responsibility to rectify this situation and ensure that your customers are treated with the respect, dignity, and professionalism they deserve.
I kindly request a prompt response to this complaint within three days to inform me of the actions you have taken to address this matter. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution, I will be left with no choice but to pursue further action to uphold my rights as a customer who has been subjected to distressing circumstances.
I trust that you will handle this incident with the seriousness it deserves and take immediate steps to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. I have always held Dimo's Pizza Wicker Park in high regard, and I sincerely hope that this experience was an isolated incident.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours...
Read moreIt’s been weeks but I had an experience that bothered me so much I have to talk about it. I’ve talked about it to my friends since this experience and I have to come forward with what happened.
We live in the neighborhood and went when they first opened. The first time, we ordered two slices of pizza and mac and cheese. We were told the mac and cheese would be a little bit which we were fine with. 30 mins went by and we asked about it and they told me they forgot to put it in the oven. We asked for a refund for the mac and cheese, which they provided, and then gave us two coupons for free slices. (Also as a side note - the pizzas for slices were just sitting out not under a heat lamp which is bordering on unsanitary. Food has to be kept at a certain temperature to be safe, and not having heat lamps doesn’t keep the food in that zone. They have them sitting out for god knows how long, but that’s for another day)
We went back the next day and used the slices, and the cashier didn’t ask us if it was to go or for there. We were taking them to go, and when they handed the plates to us, I asked if we could get it to go.
I asked that question extremely politely. The response I got was “What would you do if I said no? You won’t come back here.”
To be honest, had I been in my right mind, I would have reached over the counter and grabbed the boxes myself rather than deal with the attitude. I’m still in shock that that was what the cashier said.
Since then, I haven’t been back and don’t think I ever will. Two times in a row of extremely bad experiences, with two separate issues and two separate staff members tells me it’s a staff thing, not a one-off.
Shame because I really liked their BBQ chicken pizza. But I can’t put myself through that kind of bad customer...
Read moreAfter wandering Wicker Park for hours for somewhere to eat, my boyfriend and I finally decided just to order a pizza and have it delivered. It seemed like the easiest way to go considering it was about 12am on a Friday night. We settled on Dimo's because of the variety of unique menu items they offered. However, I had a terrible experience trying to order our pizza online. The website kept telling me the zip code was invalid after I entered my card information. After several tries to order online, we finally just called to place the order. Everything was fine and dandy after that, so I thought. It took about 45 minutes for our pizza to arrive. By now it's about 1:30am and we were starving. The delivery boy shows up, hands me the pizza and walks away. I thought it seemed odd that he didn't have me sign a receipt, but I was to hungry to question it. As we were finishing up the pizza, I got a phone call from Dimo's saying they couldn't run my card because I didn't sign the receipt and that the delivery boy would have to come back to have me sign it. About 30 minutes go by and he finally shows up for me to sign the receipt. Since I wasn't from the area, I wrote my billing address on the receipt just in case they needed more information to run my card. I assumed everything was fine from that point, but I was wrong, again. Upon checking my credit card statements, it shows (3) $36.00 charges for the pizza (Which is the wrong price for what we ordered. It should've been $28.00.) plus (8) $1.00 charges as well as a random $4.00 charge. I will be calling them to dispute the extra charges in the next few days. I don't understand why this experience had to be so difficult, but I most likely will not be going back if I am in...
