WORST BARTENDER IVE EVER SEEN. I was talking to my friend on the phone (we’re both bartenders in the industry by the way) while she stopped in here just for a quick snack and a beer while we caught up. The older bleach blonde bartender working 5/16 at 6:30 pm literally told my friend she was too LOUD? As she’s speaking to me on the phone. She claimed all SEVEN people in the bar at the time were complaining. Mind you, the music was LOUD. The bartender had a stank face the whole time.. not like you’d want to talk to HER anyway? The only 2 other people at the bar top were playing cards??? Go to a library if you don’t want to hear people talk in a bar DUH? That bartender made my friend super uncomfortable that she took the rest of her food and left. The most unwelcoming thing I’ve ever witnessed. The worst bartender I’ve ever heard. Don’t go here as long as she’s bartending!!! Or she’ll check your volume… in a BAR. She went for the pizza puff but we can find those anywhere else it’s not worth the garbage service. EDIT: So apparently Facetime is not allowed in this bar. Clearly the older bartender is answering these reviews “talking on speaker PHONE is rude plain and simple” lol so no talking in a BAR. Interesting. Add horrible owner (if they’re even the ones replying) no accountability and possibly racism here to the list of reasons not to go

Great food. Great drinks. And a great time! Friendly neighborhood pub with solid bar food, rotating beer selection, full bar. Staff is the best and Tony the owner is usually there as well. Don’t let Ron the bartender scare you. He is really a teddy bear inside. A Chicago staple.

Possibly a hidden gem. I’ve had a burger and pulled pork sandwich- both were very good. The tots are great and the sandwiches come on a pretzel bun! A more unique beer selection and reasonably priced. Solid ambiance and the waitress was super nice!

They have pretty good Friday specials. $8 for fish & chips and $5 vodka lemonades. For a Friday night, it wasn't too busy. It's nice that they have outdoor seating available as well. They have a few TV screens if you want to catch a game but you'll have to sit at the bar to really enjoy watching the game.

The waitress was sweet. She checked in on us from time to time. She was very quiet when approaching the table though so my friends got startled a few times. The fish & chips were good. Someone else ordered a burger and to all of our surprise, they didn't offer American cheese. He was disappointed but thought the burger was decent...

EDITED: It’s come to my attention that the bartender I spoke with is named MARK. He gave us the name of someone else working here. Scumbag.

My friend left something behind here and when we called to check the bartender cussed us out and made fun of us. When we went to get them we overheard him talking about us, saying racist things about our friends and joking about threatening us with weapons. Also heard him say he is getting a swastika tattooed on his forehead. His name is RON. Avoid this...
