According to mint I’ve spent $3000 on glaze in the past 3+ years. Just actually threw out my unused paper punch card collection from back in the day. Longtime fan, but this is the 3rd time my food has not been delivered and I’ve received no response from the restaurant. Their phone number for the Chicago superior st location is a cell phone that goes straight to voicemail. Last night I waited 40 mins past their delivery time 2+ hrs only to be told by Uber that they handle delivery in-house and so my only option is to call the restaurant. It’s not Ubers fault, but the UX design feels like gas lighting when the restaurant doesn’t communicate or provide any support and also opts-out of all Uber resources. I work in customer service and I love the food so I hope they fix whatever has changed. Prices on Uber eats now cost me $54 with tax and tip for two meals + veggies, which used to be $34 max. Pandemic, inflation, etc, I get it, but co$t can’t be higher and service lower. If the food came and/or they answered the phone I would change this review! Photo of...

Order placed through Uber Eats → redirected to the Glaze website.
3h 47m later, tracking shows my teriyaki bowl is hangin’ with Daniel at Old Pueblo Cantina in Lincoln Park.
Status: still “on the way.”
Route breakdown: Glaze River West → my office (LaSalle & The River).
Per Google Maps 8-minute drive (Thursday, 11:47 pm).
Communication attempts: • Called Glaze via website → straight to voicemail. • Called “Daniel” (per order page) → voicemail again. • Uber Eats redirect back to merchant → same result.
Result: closed loop, no teriyaki.
Now home, but almost delusional enough to walk back to the office if it ever shows.
Locate Daniel & my teriyaki bowl. Reward: Cash bounty offered.
Updates forthcoming.

Read moreI discovered Glaze when our office used to bring in lunch and it is absolutely delicious and a crowd favorite around the office. I love their tofu teriyaki and salmon combo bowl with brown rice and a salad. As a pescatarian it’s nice to have options. I have never eaten there but it is my go to for lunch delivery whenever I am in the office as they do great portions at a very reasonable price and I’m never hungry in the afternoon. They are always fast and delivery goes smoothly. Love Glaze!
Edit - I see a lot of one star reviews due to delivery issues. I order weekly on our corporate DoorDash account and have yet to have an issue, so I’ve never had to contact the company....
