Golden Years Chicago — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

Golden Years is a great lil West Town spot for larger or small groups. There’s a lot of seating and the bartender was super active and checked in with us often even though we were over at one of the tables. Tried a few of the cocktails including the Bitter Harvey, Singapore Sling, and the Strawberry Gimlet. I would order each of them again, they were all very fresh and delicious, but the Singapore Sling was definitely my fav! My friend also got the vegan burger and said it was great. Good music as well....

It's a cool atmosphere but the cocktails were horrid. I got some kind of "cactus juice" drink and my gf got the Singapore sling. Mine was unbalanced and frankly tough to choke down. Hers was ok, but too sweet. We also sat for a while outside before giving up and going up to the bar to order for ourselves. We saw another outside table do the same thing. Might be back to sit at the bar because I like the vibe, but definitely sticking with beer or one of the classics like an old fashioned - those are tough...

This place is such a gem. The Cocktails are well made and cared for. The Bartenders are kind, social and attentive. The food is actually good too, it's not just an add-on it's a genuine feature of the experience.

I highly encourage you to come for happy hour, with a competitively priced set of drinks and food offerings of classic cocktails and one of the best burgers in the area...
