Would definitely typically recommend Lotties like I have to so many people throughout the years, but unfortunately I will never do this again...
May 19th, a little over 3 weeks ago, I suggested to my father that we go to Lotties for lunch while we waited for my mother to be released from the hospital (had surgery to remove a tumor)... My dad and I showed up to have lunch and we informed the bartender we would pay cash but she requested a card to hold until we paid after we were done, which is fine and definitely normal.... My mother called while we were finishing lunch and said she was discharged.. we asked for our bill and we paid cash.... The bartender never returned my card (partially my fault because I also forgot)...
A few hours later I realized this and I called Lotties (again May 19th). Spoke with a manager and the room my address and stated that they would mail my card the next day due to the fact I live in Indiana and Am around 90 mins away... fast forward a week later.... still no card in the mail... I contacted Lotties and talked to a manager on May 26th... he informed me that the “Operations Manager just gave him the card and that they mailed it out that morning...
I waited another week and contacted Lotties again on June 2nd (2 weeks after my visit). The manager that I talked to before claims he never spoke with me the week before and said that he sees a note about my card and that I called but told me that the handwriting was too messy to read.. I asked to speak to the “operations manager” and he told me that he was not in. I again gave him my number and asked if he could please call me back because I was holding off on ordering a new bank card because they told me that they mailed it out....
Again fast forward to today.... 23 days later... Still no bank card in the mail and still no contact from Lotties....
This is very sad and unfortunate for me because I truly loved this bar and always came there with people when I visited the city.. I have always spoke very highly of Lotties but this was a terrible experience and I will no long recommend Lotties to anyone...
Read moreMy friends and I were looking for a new place to try. We had a 2 hour reservation for a “pod” (which is literally a mini shed). We didn’t get to order our appetizers until a half hour after we sat down because our server hadn’t come to our table. Remind you, we are on a two hour time limit for our reservation. She finally took our first appetizer order, and then proceeded to not come and check on our table at all for another half hour. At this point, it is an hour into our reservation and we had yet to order our main dishes because our server was nowhere to be seen. She finally takes our order, and proceeds to leave us again for another half hour (Yes, this was the third time she didn’t come for a half hour. She never came back and offered an apology any of the times, rather she told us how she was “slacking tonight”.) Our table also asked for water a total of 4 times throughout the reservation, to which the server responded “Yes i’ll bring it right out.” Not ONE TIME did she bring out water. My friend had to go inside two different times to get water for our table because the server couldn’t do it apparently. My friends also talked to the manager about our situation and the manager didn’t care whatsoever. Two of the employees at Lottie’s named Jose and Juan are quite literally the only good thing about this place. They were friendly and they promptly brought us what we needed after asking if they could do/ get us anything else. They were the only two employees the entire night that were friendly and checked in on us. You can make your own decision about trying Lottie’s, but if you look at all the reviews, my experience is unfortunately one of many experiences like this. I would not recommend Lottie’s, and I will make sure to tell anyone and everyone I know to avoid this place. The only reason I am giving this establishment any stars is 1. because it won’t let me put no stars and 2. for Jose...
Read moreI’m giving a 3 simply because the food was good, and it was nice to have a private space to enjoy dinner during covid, however I would not return until covid has cleared up. The tent/pod idea is nice, but when your requiring people spend $250-300 minimum between 4-6 people with a 2hr time limit, service needs to be quicker and more efficient. Several times we had a waiter attempt to deliver us someone else’s food. It is already coming from inside to out, but it’s also uncovered and who wants their food around people who aren’t them uncovered. Second of all, we had barely received our food (at least a 35-45min wait) before being reminded our time limit was approaching. Yes we did order quite a bit of food, but who wouldn’t try to get their full money’s worth? (We could hear the pod next door being rushed as well at some point.) We then placed to go order and before they were brought out was told the next party for our pod was here, as if we were expected to wait outside in the cold. Finally when time to pay the bill came, we were basically guilt tripped into putting it all on one bill because it was so busy and that was easiest for the server/kitchen when only one person was paying with a card everyone else cash. Overall a meh experience especially for a bday. I’m sure running back and fourth was a lot for the waitress especially in the cold, so we still tipped, but always take care of the current customer first before worrying about the next one. Also layer up if you go because it was still chilly even with the...
