This place is wonderful! Highly recommended.
The atmosphere that this place creates is so welcoming and relaxing. It's location is unobtrusive, yet, it manages to stand out. With the well placed lights and chairs, you are drawn to it's window. That's another great thing about this place, you don't have to go inside to order. Makes it perfect if you are craving a refreshing Italian ice after a good bike ride, a day at the park, or even a nice stroll. Of course, we can't forget about the actual taste and I have to say that it was amazing! I was not expecting the lemon flavor to be so citrusy. It really hit the spot. Often times, lemon flavors come out a tad sweet, which ruins the experience for me, but not the case here. The customer service was excellent too. When you arrive, there might be a line, but it goes by quite fast, so you won't be waiting for too long.
Definitely a place worth...
Read moreI grew up in this place and loved coming here my whole life until I was hung up on and blocked from calling for trying to leave a tip for a great woman who was very kind and helpful. Loved her customer service. Called back because tip got reversed but was yelled at and hung up on by another employee before I could even get a word out. Now I'm never going back there again. I feel ashamed for spending money with a place that treats their customers like trash.....I hope customers read the response and understand how rude and disgusting this place is..... I only wanted to leave a tip for an employee and I was treated extremely poorly....I would never ever spend my money at a place that treats life long customers this way. Please read their response to understand just how repulsive they are. Wow. I've never been treated so poorly in my entire life. Shame on this...
Read moreNeighborhood small family business that has a good product delivered in a not so good way: styrofoam cups! Yes, there are paper cups - only if requested by the customer. The baby size is currently the only one that comes in paper. They even display the styrofoam cups right in front of their business!
Miko's Italian Ice Instagram post around last Earth Day claimed they are transitioning away from styrofoam cups. Over a year later, styrofoam is still their default unless you know to ask for a paper cup (they have transitioned only their smallest size). Does it really take over a year to buy an alternative cup?
They said the Italian ice melts in paper cups faster and they had customers complains but I tried in both spring and summer and it really doesn’t melt more than an ice cream would melt in an ice cream cone...
