I live about 2 blocks from here and I can't believe I haven't stopped by sooner. The food is amazing. Unlike the other Best Sub where you get a ton of bad fries, these guys give you a reasonable amount of delicious, crispy fries! While I was waiting on my burger they gave me some free samples and both were amazing! The secret sauce for the fries was so good I might get that instead of cheese next time and the Italian beef was literally the best I've ever had and I'm extremely picky on Italian beef! The peppers were a little spicy but not too hot, just enough to give it a really good flavor without the heat drowning it out. They have a lot of custom items on the menu as well in addition to the Chicago quick serve staples so make sure to check out the full menu. Everything is fresh and made to order and the prices are better than McDonald's, I'm excited to come back to try some of their other menu items! My only regret is that I ate my food too fast to...

I'm from Middle Georgia, and even down in the country, we get better gyros than this. I just ordered a gyro from New Best Sub, and I have to say — it's the worst I've ever had, and I’ve had gyros all across the U.S.

Dry, tough, and completely lacking the seasoned punch you expect from a proper gyro. As for the pita, it was stale and rubbery — not soft, warm, or fresh. And instead of focusing on quality ingredients, they drowned the sandwich in lettuce like it was a salad in a wrap. What is this?
Chicago is supposed to be a food city — you’ve even got Greektown! There’s no excuse for serving something this bad. It’s a gyro in name only. If you’re looking for authentic taste or even basic quality, skip this place. Extremely...

He's got the cleanest kitchen & best quality ingredients you're gonna get for the neighborhood.
I've had the double cheeseburger with bacon added to it, the Italian beef with cheese (cheese not necessary) and the gyro. All of them as meals, fries and a drink. The fries are really good on their own merit. I don't really go for fries but these are so good, there's something to be said about their simplicity. Add some mild sauce to them and I'm all set.
The neighborhood is meh, especially late at night but this place is worth it if you're gonna go out for a bite to eat. Make...
