Reina's Cakes — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I am so excited to see that Reina has opened up a bakery, right in the heart of Humboldt Park! My husband and I got cupcakes for our wedding from Reina. She custom made the frosting color that was absolutely gorgeous and completely on theme. She made both vegan and non-cupcake vegan cupcakes for us and our guests. Everyone absolutely loved the cupcakes, both our guests with allergies and sensitivities, and those without equally! As someone with a nut allergy, I was so excited that I was actually able to enjoy the vegan cupcake as well as the non-vegan, and I have to say they were almost identical in flavor! The ingredients were clearly fresh, the packaging was sturdy and the overall quality was so far superior to anything mass produced in a store.

Reina is exactly as her name describes, a queen in every way! Absolutely wonderful and communication, she helped us pack the cupcakes into the car herself, she gave us very specific instructions on how to keep them fresh for our guests, and how to preserve them after the party so that we can enjoy the very few leftover treats the following day and she is an absolutely gorgeous spirit inside and out! Reina is an amazing person! Once you meet her you will will love her. She has such an amazing personality. She's very loving, humbled and very sweet. She's a very giving person and goes above and beyond to make her customers happy with her cakes. I'm a self-proclaimed cake enthusiast, and I've had my fair share of sweet treats. But Reina's Cake is truly in a league of its own. I stumbled upon her cart at a festival and was blown away by her almond cake, which was almost too beautiful to eat. The cake featured a stunning Puerto Rican flag design that was perfectly executed. But what really stole the show was the taste - it was incredible! The combination of flavors and textures was spot on, and I couldn't get enough.
