California Fish Grill — Restaurant in West Covina

This was our first visit to the California Fish Grill. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her miso salmon bowl. I ordered the battered fish and shrimp. The batter was good but the fish was a bit heavily coated. I ended up tearing some off. As a new store it's probably due to experience and the crew will get better at coating the fish more evenly. Again the flavor was fine. I was surprised that malt vinegar was not available, it's kind of a standard condiment with battered fish. Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful. A good overall first visit. We will return to try something else on the menu...

Pleasantly surprised at my meal at ca fish grill. Kiosk ordering and self serve sold fro is are both big pluses for me and the fact that I had a quality is bonus. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. I like that there are a multitude of options from sandwhiches to tacos to plates with various fish choices. One side missing is a malt vinegar but there are many different sauces to choose from I ordered the fish and chips and upgraded to the Greek salad side. I’m glad I did as the cucumbers mixed with the feta and tomatoes were excellent. Overall...

Food was cold very bland. We waited for a salad for 20 minutes after they gave us our main course. Very unorganized nobody to lead the crew. They took 30 minutes to bring our soup. It came after we finished our food. The hibiscus water had no taste at all. We asked for a Mango water and they said it was extra. Which was no problem at all when they brought the cup it had no ice and it was thick. Definitely not worth the $70 we paid...
