DO NOT ORDER FOOD FOR PICKUP ON WEEKENDS!! Ordered on their website at 7:47 pm Sunday night, paid $13 for an appetizer of garlic fries. Immediately received a text stating they received my order and that the “kitchen was currently working on it” and they would let me know when it was ready for pick up. I waited to call until 8:45 (assuming they were busy) and was informed they don’t fulfill online orders on weekends and that they would fulfill the order first thing Monday. When I advised them that their system sent me a confirmation text stating that they “were currently working on my order” in addition to charging my card, they acted as if this should be common knowledge that they don’t fulfill online orders on weekends. They finally asked if I wanted them to make the fries (for my son who was starving by this time), I advised them yes, as we didn’t want it the following morning. I walked over, picked the fries up and requested a manager. He stated the same thing that they don’t take online orders on weekends, I advised him perhaps they should update their website to reflect just that, I’d hate to order for an entire team staying next door, to wait patiently for their food, only to find out they don’t start the order till 11am the following day. We typically love Smash Park but they completely dropped the ball on this. Update your website to not accept orders on weekends, or perhaps update your text message to state thanks for your order but… or perhaps don’t charge the card. And by all means when you have a customer that orders food that you send confirmation of it being “currently prepared by the kitchen” and they provide proof of, perhaps you should acknowledge the failure at hand and not act like they’re being a burden for being upset that they just waited an hour for a side of fries. And we did in fact get our confirmation text that our food was ready…. Monday morning at 11:05. Also, $13 for an appetizer of garlic fries that fit into a small side/single sandwich container seems ridiculously high priced, certainly not enough for an appetizer or to...
Read moreI must not have been at the same place as other reviewers, even those from today, because upon arrival we were not greeted, nor approached by an employee for at least 10 minutes (mind you there were maybe 4 other groups in the entire building). The employee that did approach us was definitely on something, and was talking nonsense and threw menus down on the table and walked away. 10 minutes later the server finally arrives; she was inattentive and talked with a flat and condescending tone. 15 minutes after bringing our drinks, she finally is ready to take the food orders. We place the orders for food, and are asked if we needed anything else. I said I would like more water, to which she appeared annoyed and told me that I can use their self serve fountain for water. Around 25 minutes goes by and a food runner (not the server) delivers the food and quickly runs off. About halfway through our meal, the server finally shows back up. I ask her a question about their rotating beers and she had no idea what I was talking about and asked the bartender. I proceed to order a draft beer. 15 minutes after the order is placed the bartender (who was busy wiping down stacks of clean cups with a dry rag) finally pours the beer. He places it on the counter for servers to grab to run drinks from. Another 15 minutes goes by as it sits on the counter, and my patience finally broke. We demanded the bill be closed, and the beer removed. Mind you the server had been missing for the better part of 30 minutes and we had to settle the ordeal with someone at the bar. He gave us a 25% discount, but no money will give back the time I wasted here tonight. No games were able to be played, I was not entertained, and will not be returning. Over two hours to have a simple meal, and a drink not walked the 8 feet from the bar to the table is unacceptable. I wouldn’t even recommend this place if you had...
Read moreIn general, this could be a great place but service was terrible. We booked a room for a party. We had drunk people from the room adjacent to us constantly walking through our room to short cut to the bar (they werent getting any service either). But stumbling through, running into our party and interrupting games. We also had kids from all over the resturant using our room as a highway chasing each other around. There was a big game on the TV and over half the drunk group next to us was in our area blocking several of the games, screaming profanities and yelling at each other. Our server came 2 times in an hour, the first 20 minutes after we had been there, when all the husbands were at the bar getting drinks for everyone. When I went to the bar, I noticed our server standing off to the side with several other servers talking about social issues. Another member of our party and I ordered the same drink 3 times, it came out 3 different ways. I finally as the group organizer talked to the manager, he changed servers and took the drinks we didnt drink off the bill, but at the end of the night, I asked the 2nd server if she had to split the tips with the one that did nothing and she said yes. I didnt get the impression that they really cared much. All in all, I spent over $500 for a private area, which turned out to be a hallway/highway and we got to share with a drunk and loud group. We got to serve ourselves and there was an obvious lack of knowledge on the bar tenders part.
If you have a large party go somewhere else. Either that or know what your getting before you go. Its a lot to spend to...
