Experienced HORRIBLE SERVICE on appliance delivery. I ordered a fridge and a washer and dryer set for our new house in late March. They scheduled delivery for April 25th because the fridge was back ordered. No one shows up, no one calls on the 25th and I took PTO to be off. They reschedule for “the next day” via email. No one shows up, no one calls and I took PTO to be off to meet them (again). I immediately go in to the store and they apologize and reschedule me for April 30th. They show up on April 30th and deliver a fridge and a washer and drier to the garage of our new home. We move in 6 days later and on moving day (which is already stressful enough) we unwrap the fridge to find out it’s the WRONG FRIDGE that was delivered. It’s not a “better” model either, it’s the model that we were upgrading from, much cheaper. This is where the fun begins…
I call the store, which doesn’t have any phones at all and it auto transfers you to out-of-touch overseas support that does nothing but apologize and try to “reschedule” you. I got transferred more times than I can count and they all got nothing done for me until 5-6 hours and 8 calls later I reach the “fulfillment team” which was state side and helpful. They reschedule delivery for May 15th because my fridge was “back ordered” so they couldn’t deliver it next day. They offered for me to use the current (wrong) one, and then free uninstall, install of the new fridge and haul away of the material on May 15th, okay fair.
May 15th roles around so I take 3 hours PTO off work and get home to meet them for the appt. time they emailed me for 1:30-5:30pm. NO ONE SHOWS UP AND NO ONE CALLED AT ALL. No emails either explaining anything. I call their customer service, they tell me it’s rescheduled, then I called the fulfillment/delivery team and they tell me he’s an hour out with one delivery between mine. After that, no one showed up or called. Now I have to schedule a 5th delivery with these people and take more time off of work for their negligence, terrible communication, and poor customer service. I realize that things happen and the wrong fridge can get picked out of a warehouse, I’ve worked in a warehouse, but the flat out terrible communications and inability to go above and beyond after you’ve messed up this big is not how a business should be ran. Steer clear of buying appliances...
Read moreA month or two ago I moved to Johnston, Iowa during the move my brand new dryer leg broke off. Since I purchased the dryer from Best Buy I figured I could go to the best buy near my house and get the part. I first went to the 4100 University Ave Best Buy and was treated very poorly. They told me if I wanted the part I should order it from LG or go to Lowes and they can order me the part. I didn't understand it because I bought the dryer at Best Buy so they should be able to order me a new part. I even took my attention to one of the managers. I left that Best Buy outraged and upset. This is not the experience I get normally when going to Best Buy. I'm a huge advocate of Best Buy because of the outstanding service and knowledgeable staff. So, I decided to try another Best Buy and give Best Buy one more chance. When I got to 6825 Mills Civic Pkwy Best Buy. I immediately asked to speak to a manager. I explained my situation to Shawn. He apologized for my pervious experience I had and said if there was a unit on the floor I can take that part. Unfortunately there was not but he told me he can order me the part and it could be at my house in two days! What astonished me most was he even paid for the part. Shawn really came though provided excellent service and deescalated the situation, to be honest I was so upset I didn't want to shop at another Best Buy and was about to boycott em because of the service perviously. He restored my faith in Best Buy. To this day I drive an extra 10 minutes there and back so I can shop at this Best Buy. I tell all my friends about how great Best Buy is, I even convinced a good friend to return his Dyson to Target and we are going tomorrow because Best Buy price matched Target and has better...
Read moreToo long; didn’t read: after many mixed experiences, I will not be shopping at this Best Buy again. After the store could not locate a product that they told me was in stock, they failed to tell me that the sale on the product was ending or that I could purchase it online. The next day I had to pay full price for the item and the manager would not honor the sale.
I have had many mixed experiences at this Best Buy. However, after my most recent experience, I have decided to avoid shopping here in the future. The store is clean and most of the staff are friendly, but I have often left the store unsatisfied. If you know exactly what you want, chances are that a team member can help you find it right away, but if you are considering a variety of options, it seems that team members will unnecessarily try to convince you to take the most expensive. In my most recent experience, my mother decided on a specific chromebook that she wanted. We asked a team member if they had any in stock, and the system showed that exactly 1 was available. However, after 20 minutes of searching, nobody was able to locate the device. The store was closing, so we left empty-handed, planning to go to a different Best Buy the next day. We did, only the sale price for the chromebook was no longer available, and the manager was unable to offer us the sale price. One of the most frustrating part of this experience was at the first store, nobody told us that the sale was ending or that we could’ve purchased the product online and they could’ve called us when it was available. In the end, I will not shop at this Best Buy again because they do not put the...
