Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in West Lafayette

If I could rate more than five stars I would!! My friend's birthday was today and after a not-so-subtle interrogation, I found out her all-time favorite dessert was mint ice cream cake. So I research places around her that sell them and find this place. I live in South Carolina so I had to order it and have it delivered remotely.

Service was the absolute best! Talked to the manager himself and he was so helpful, got everything done and figured out so smoothly in no time at all. He said they didn't normally deliver themselves, that they do it through third party services, but he offered to drive it to her place personally at the time I requested to save me the hassle! Then he called as soon as he dropped it off to let me know it made it there. Such polite, accommodating service as this is rare.

Excellent variety and great flavours. Cold stone has never disappointed me in terms of quality or helping me find what I want. One can choose from their assortment of delicious ice cream or try out a signature combination prepared in front of them. If ice cream isn't your thing you can even go for cakes or cookies. To put it in perspective, cold stone is to ice cream lovers as Disneyland is to pre adolescent children. You can't have the full experience in one visit. Cold stone is the perfect place to finish a weekend evening out and about. I have been there recently after my visit to the local theatre. The one thing someone may complain about is the seating space which is minimal. Often times the lines will extend outside the shop into the open weather. The ice cream was completely melted and it was basically soup by the time the employee put it in the cup and full about 3/4 of the way too. I had to ask to put a little scoop more because it was not worth the money I was paying. The additional little scoop is the only partially frozen part of this ice cream which almost instantly melted afterwards too. The ice cream in the freezer was really soft to begin with but the surface that the employee was mixing the ice cream didn’t even seem to be on. The one portion that did seem cold wasn’t being used at all. I love Coldstone since they began their business but this was the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had. Not to mention it was really hot inside the store itself. Terrible experience in general and the employee asked if we wanted to add tip too. Tip for getting soup instead of ice cream? Mmm...
