Dos Amigos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in West Lafayette

I just wanted to show of this place and have dinner with my family! I'm so embarrassed, ashamed, and disappointed that I taken them here. It took 5min waiter (Matt) 10min bring our drinks (no lemom). I ordered chicken chimichanga and for my youngest kids burrito and hard shell taco ground beef (he didn't ask me any questions for my order or my kid). As he walked away he accidentally knocked my fork on the floor he turned back to pick the fork off the floor and he would get me a new one. Matt never once check on us or more refills. 20mins later with our food, my chicken chimichanga after bringing all the food to our table I ask where's my rice and beans? He tells me that I only order chicken chimichanga, I told him that I wanted the rice/beans/lettuce/tomato the meal. Matt told me he will charge me extra for side of rice and beans. I wanted it as a meal that said on the menu. He said he will take my plate back and make it into a meal I didn't want to wait again for a new whole plate and telling me that's all I order is chicken chimichanga but he would ask his manager. I told him I would like to see a menu and speak to the manager as he walked away. Matt brought the menu I showed him what I wanted, he still look in the menu to show me one chicken chimichanga but he couldn't find it. Again I ask for the manager while he took the menu away. He comes back and tell me that he will not charge me for the rice and beans I said that is not what I wanted I would be glad to pay for what I am ordering. I ask to place side order rice and beans and a new utensil to eat my food since you dropped my fork on the floor. I would like to speak with your manager please 3 time I've ask. When Matt was walking away he says it out loud that he Won't charge me for my meal! While people from a different table is now looking at us. Manager (DANNY) finally comes and don't say ANYTHING not hello NOTHING!! He leans on the corner of the booth and say SO I said doesn't even matter what I'm going to said it look like you don't even care and HE JUST WALKED AWAY. I am so frustrated and mad i didn't want to look like a mad woman so I left my family (3) seating eating their food and walk to the waiting area to just relax breath and can't wait to leave. The hostess tells me the manager don't speak much English and that's why (what??). While I was just seating, Matt comes up and I ask him if he can just get my family refills of their drinks while he tells me thats taking care of and my food is on the table and pursue to ask me if i still want my food or a box i told him just leave it on the table. Waitress (Becca) did come and ask me actually care wanting to know happened. I told her and she wanted to make it up and apologize. I went back to our table chicken chimichanga, rice, and beans left on the table my family's plate is all gone no refill of water for me. I was waiting for a minute for our bill I can't eat now or feel welcome at all. I saw Matt and walked to him and ask Can I have our bill please so we can leave now ignoring me and so I ask him again. He said oh yes let me grab that for you and he print it out receipt is all roll up and he just put it on the counter WoW Matt and I unrolled the receipt and looked at it and pay for it no I can admit it that I did not leave a tip of which I have never done in my LIFE and he hands me my receipt back he told me have a nice day I said Thank you and you too! As my family and I was walking away from the restaurant DANNY THE MANAGER was up front and he saw me taking a picture of him and he look down HE THREATENING ME THAT HE'S CALL THE POLICE! What a guy a MANAGER!! I don't know but that was a clear English to me. I did not eat my food or take it home because I did not pay for, it was left on the table. Future note if you order chicken chimichanga, rice, and beans separately its only $8 a meal $13.95. Never wrote a review in my whole LIFE but this just went the wrong way and just a simple fix. I enjoyed supporting small business and family owned places and will continue but So sad and sorry...

I placed an online order for pickup. When I arrived at the time they said it would be done, 5 different people asked to see my order and didn't seem to know I had ordered. After telling them 3 different times what it was that I had ordered, they went to the back. Someone finally came back and said just a few more minutes. I would have completely understood had they been packed or busy at all. They had 2 people in the entire place eating. After another 20 minutes I received my order. I asked for salsa Verde. I was told I never put that request on my online order. Ok, no problem. I asked to buy some. The guy rolled his eyes and walked away from me. He comes back with my salsa. I said thank you and he just walks off. I get home, 35 minutes away, and realize part of my order is missing. My fault, I should have checked. But the whole ordeal was just a mess. I call the restaurant to let them know. He asks me to come back in. I let him know I live a ways away and he proceeds to ask me what it is that I want then. I have never. We eat at the food truck which is fantastic! But we will never visit this restaurant again. First and last for us,...

Just tried Dos Amigos for the first time this evening for dinner. I never usually leave reviews unless something is horribly bad or exceptional, or a place doesn't have many reviews. Dos Amigos is fairly new, so it doesn't have many reviews, and my experience here was exceptional! The atmosphere is perfect as far as balancing sound goes, as there is music playing but it is not too loud and you can actually talk to the other person across the table from you. The service was also top of the line, as we were served within 10-15 minutes of ordering (on a non-busy night) and the food delievered was perfectly cooked and as delicous as it looks. If you care for Spicy Mexican, there are options for you such as hot sauce on the table that you can use to spice it up, as the food here is not spicy at all, a huge plus for my grandma and mom that I came with that don't like spicy food. With such a great atmosphere, great food, and great service I definitely will be back and recommend everyone to...
