I have tried four takeout biryanis so far - 1. Masakali Paneer Biryani (16 USD, highly recommend), 2. Paneer Tikka Biryani, 3. Chicken Vijayawada Biryani (highly highly recommend) and 4. Goat Biryani. First, the good points. The quantity is nasty, I would end up eating that much biryani twice if not thrice. Even for my indian palette, I go for mild spicy and it always is sufficiently spicy. It's value for your 16-18 bucks. For vegetarians, the Masakali was really tasty, I would recommend to try it. They have the take out option till 10.30 pm, which is a life saver. You can place the take out order via call, it will be max prepared in 30 min.
For non-vegetarians, I read their goat biryani is awesome and that made us try it. It literally is great, they provide enough pieces plus they have maintained the aroma. We are also happy with their Andhra Goat Curry, would recommend it. We tried an awesome combination of Egg Noodles (schezwan) with Green Chili Chicken, together this combination was great. The egg noodles alone would feel like salt less but paired with schezwan it balances the flavor. Their Curry Leaf Chicken is THE BEST, pair it with white rice and it's magical. Also, tried their Butter Chicken Masala, would definitely recommend it, it's so much better than the ones served by their competitors in West Lafayette/Lafayette.
I'm just a little disappointed with Paneer Tikka Biryani, neither did it have enough paneer pieces nor it tasted like biryani. It was more of eating plain rice.
PS: mango lassi is 6 bucks. Make...
Read moreMy husband and I just tried Indian for the first time, and we decided on the his place after looking a few up. We loved it. 10/10 no regrets. I got the chicken tikka masala and he got butter chicken. They asked us to what spice level we wanted and he got the hottest while I got medium and we were both pleased. The awesome dude that took our order gave me a bowl of yogurt sauce (for free) when my husband told him I donât like super spicy stuff. It is a tad spicier than I normally like, but the medium is perfect because itâs not so spicy that my mouth was on fire afterward. I definitely utilized the yogurt sauce, too, though because it just made the dish more delicious. Itâs only takeout which is cool with us bc weâre not huge fans of eating with a ton of strangers. They put our chicken and sauce in one bowl and the rice in another (which was also made perfectly), and they gave us a piece of warm bread to go with it. These guys were all super nice, and they were quickâready in less than 15 minutes! We cannot wait to go back and try some more stuff! Thank you guys for making our date night! I canât tell you enough how impressed we were with how good this...
Read moreThis is the best restaurant in Lafayette for authentic Indian food, especially Hyderabad-style cuisine. You won't find the same taste, quantity, or quality anywhere else in Lafayette. Previously, we had to travel to Indianapolis to enjoy this kind of food, and I am thrilled that it has finally opened near Purdue. Kudos to the entire team for their effortsâI just wish it had opened a bit earlier!
When it comes to favorite dishes, the GOAT FRY biryani is a must-try, especially if you like extra spiceâjust ask for double masala, and you'll love it. The chicken dum biryani is also excellent. Other appetizers, such as Curry Leaf Chicken and Chicken 65, are equally impressive for me. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy scrumptious food.
A suggestion for the owners would be to open a dine-in space, at least by the fall semester when students...
